I think having to tip is ********. Why should I have to pay you for doing the job you are already getting paid for. You shouldn't be a better server to just get a higher tip, you should be a good server because you want be good at your job.

yes, i want to say tx is the lowest at $2.13 and it goes up to around 4 bucks. bartenders make a little more and they also get a share of the tips that the servers in the stores make

I'm a 20 year old college student and tipping is something that will never go away now. Especially when restaurants can get away with paying next to nothing if servers get tips. They should have to follow the same minimum wage laws as everyone else which would probably be better in the long run for servers.
