No most christians don't care if you are gay. They only care when gays think that they can get married. Marriage is a religious concept of faith. They do not recognize marriage as anything except a man and woman. Therefore while not caring if you like to stick your dick into guy's butts, you can not get married. If they do believe that you can get married, then they are not real chritians.

Marriage has gone beyond the silly boundaries of religion.

Marriage existed long before the bible. Its not purely religious.

marraige is also a legal binding between two people. if gys cant get married legally, then they miss out on tax oportunities, shared health care, etc. That's also in modern times. it's also not just a religious construct, there was a concept of "marraige" far before christianity came about

They don't. Only the close-minded retards do. The minister at my Christian church gave an entire sermon on how gays have every right to be gay, and that it's wrong for Christians to go around acting the way they do.

A ******** of old people left our Church, including my grandparents. I don't ******* get it at all. They devour every other bit of information he delivers, yet when he says something they disagree with it's suddenly the Church's fault. Oh well.

Not just in America priests hate gays. In Spain, many priests compare homosexuality with pedophilia and others think that pedophilia is more understable and tolerable than homosexuality.

You're talking about the one in Alcalá de Henares who will "teach" about sex with half the lesson being "practice" - in other words, praying.

I wonder how someone who can't even get a gf because it's forbidden for him thinks he can tell you how you should live.

I'm talking of this guy (Bernardo Álvarez), Tenerife's (Canary Islands) bishop. He's said about children molestation:
"There could be minors who want it, in fact, there are. There are teenagers who are old enough and are perfectly agreed, moreover, wishing it. They even incite it."
Plus, about homosexuality he said:
"Everyone deserves respect. Even terrorists."

The thing in Alcalá de Henares was more recent than that, and it appeared this friday on the news, so I thought you were talking about him.

He said that "homosexuals are corrupt and whore themselves to hell".

Actually, the homosexual part was part of that. Álvarez said that when journalist asked his opinion about homosexuals because of the Alcalá de Henares event.
I guess you're Spanish if you know all of this.

Yeah, but I used english so people that don't know spanish can read it too, just like you did with your message.

Perfectly understable.

They dont, really. I have spoken to hundreds of religious leaders and for the most part they all support homosexuality. Or at least do not condemn it. Since gay marriage is a fairly new topic as far as actual support goes, it is logical for people who are wary of it to use religion as a scapegoat. They do for everything else, so why not this?
