FUN BUGATTI VEYRON FACTS!:

-The original Veyron, the Grand Sport, featured an extremely rare W-16 engine! The "W" means (basically) that there are two "V" style engines side by side in the hood (which really isn't a hood considering it's a mid-engie machine) and the "16" means that the two side by side engies are V-8s. WOW!
-The original Veyron pumps out 1001 brake horsepower! That's over 5 TIMES the amount of a 2013 Honda Accord.
-The original Veyron has 10 radiators in it! Your car (I can guarantee you) only has one. It has multiple for the engine (not sure on the exact numbers) and even features a radiator JUST for the rear spoiler which is responsible for creating thousands of pounds of down force.
-See all those air vents? They take in 45,000,000 liters of air at to speed...
-Which, by the way, is 253 miles per hour!!! (remember this is just the original) Making it the fastest production car in the world.
-It has a 0-160mph time that is less than most cars go 0-60. 12.2 SECONDS!!
-Bugatti is now a company owned by Volkswagen, and although Bugattis cost over $5,000,000 to make, VW sells them for a mere (Term used loosely) 1.5mill. This is because 1)Who would buy a 5mill car? 2)The whole reason they made it was just to see if they could. and 3)3.5mill is a small number in the grand theme of things at VW.
-It's an engineering marvel and even people who aren't car fanatics like I should at least appreciate what this car represents.
Thanks for reading, sorry if I made any fact or spelling errors (although I doubt I did) I thought of all these off the top of my head from what I've read.

TL;DR: NO TLDR FOR YOU. GO READ WHAT I SAID. IT'S INTERESTING.

Aren't they still using W16's for all the Bugatti Veyron's to date?

I would also like to know how a Koenigsegg Agera with only a Twin turbo V8 can hit speeds of 245 mph...

And also although the top speed hasn't been proven yet, I'll take this over the Veyron on any day...

I hate it when people point out facts about the Veyron's engine and over rate it. Nelson Racing Engines makes a 632 cubic inch big block chevy that makes over 2200 horspower using the same fuel as the Veyron, and it doesn't cost nearly as much.

It's apples and oranges dude. You're talking about a single ENGINE people put in old muscle cars. I'm talking about the fastest production car in the world. And I'm not over rating it. If you don't think it has an incredible engine then you're got to get out more.

The Veyron's engine really isn't incredible. If you want to talk about incredible engines, we can discuss Fomula One.

While the Veyron is an amazing car, this bad boy here is better in almost every way.
The Hennessey Venom GT has 200 more horsepower, mush lighter weight, a lower 0-60 time and a much faster(by 10 seconds) 0-200 mph time. It has a faster theoretical top speed, but that cant be proven because VW owns the only place in the world where you can test it safely. Finally, it does this on only a V8 engine, and only 2 turbos. The fact that the Venom has half the cylinders and turbos asa the Veyron yet is still faster shows which is the better made car.

Is there any proof on the that 0-60 time?? I seriously doubt drive that a 1200 bhp rear wheel drive car can do that in less than 2.5 seconds

You know, I have the 2013 Accord, and that guy has really good breaking power, I couldn't even imagine how that Veyron would feel.

Also, buy a Gallardo and hand it over to Underground Racing and you have a 1500hp car with a 0-60 under 2 seconds, 1/4 mile in 8.5 seconds, and a top speed of 270mph all for around $300k. Doesn't need ******* 100 radiators like the Veyron either, that's just bad engineering.

No it's not street legal at all. And I can't find them hitting 270 anywhere on the web. I've looked it up befoire posting.

To go so fast a car needs to be built perfectly, sadly the gallardo has a poor design.

This post, there is so many things wrong with it, holy ****. First of all, the original Veyron was called nothing but "Veyron". Secondly, all Veyrons use a W16. Thirdly, you are completely and entirely wrong about the layout of the engine. Here's a picture with the heads raised to see what it really looks like. Pretty much two VR8's connected at a 90 degree angle.

Except a McLaren is WAY more expensive than any Veyron, not only in initial purchase (~$4mill is what they're running right now) but maintenance on them is ludicrous. I would take an F1 over a Veyron any day though.

I appreciate your opinion but have a counter. If you can afford a Veyron, you can DEFINATLY afford to pay someone to do those things for you.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong ******* wrong. The Grand Sport is the convertible model moron, it has a top speed of 253mph. The Super Sport, the 1200hp model, only goes 267mph. The Shelby SSC went 256mph, but can theoretically do 273mph.
