Same here. Well, not exactly the same (I think I watched it about 5-7 years ago.)

I liked Monty. I also found it funny. Monty had a bunch of Pythons.

It's really a good movie, if you don't compare it to the books.

I don't really care if I get thumbed down or not.
I like to share my opinion.
If I were to have the same comment but with the "I'm ready for your rage" picture I'm sure I wouldn't even gotten thumbed down.

Just my opinion.
The mood of trying to be dark was completely thrown out the window by Jim Carrey's goofiness.
The movie only covered a minimal amount of the story in the books.
None of the movie really made any sense whatsoever.
The ending ruined it.

they covered the first three books in the movie...im pretty sure, i havent read them in a very long time and i forget how the third one is..pretty certain the third book gets into the movie too though. how did the ending ruin it? how did none of it make sense? i just watched it again, but missed the very ending, so i couldnt piece together the eye glass, but following it was fairly easy. like what you said though, this is just my opinion

The ending ruined it. It was totally different from the books. The movie ended on a happy note where everything works out in the end.
In the books, if I remember correctly, it ends in a tragedy.
I understand the couldn't cover all the books.
The movie doesn't make any sense in many different ways.
All the adults are so dull they can't see past Olaf's disguises if he's wearing a beard. Even when they do catch him for like the 3rd time, they decide to trust him.
They never explained anything about the secret organizations.
The way the Baudelaire's house caught on fire was just dumb. A tower with a giant magnifying glass causes a whole mansion to combust in seconds?
The movie was just... argh.

well..... **** , i should probably read all the books before i argue further, i started reading them like 5 years ago ._. you win this round...sorry
i still liked the movie though honestly, i just really like the series, you raise good points though

Thanks for not being irrational.
Everyone's entitled to have their own opinion, and if you like it, that's fine with me.
