No kidding.
The Prius is supposed to be a very "eco friendly" car but the production of it's lipo cells causes surprisingly harmful pollution. (The cells might be lithium Ion, same characteristics)
What people don't tell you is that lipo batteries deteriorate over time instead of cycles (charged and discharged) with that deterioration happening faster at higher temperatures (like in California for example...)
With up to 40% decrease in capacity per year, the effective lifespan of the lipo cells is less than two years.
It produces more harmful pollution to make the lipo cells than it did to build my 3/4 ton work truck (and to drive it for ten years) and that component should be replaced after at the minimum three year mark...
You're telling me this is the eco friendly solution to my big thirsty truck?!?
Something doesn't pencil out here.

the hybride is not eco frndly because almos no one charges ther hybrid from ther house. they only use gass to charge the batteryes and draging around 100 kg of batteryes is not eco friendly.
if you take out the bateryes and the electric motor you save a lot of weigth and the car uses less gass.

He is most definitely wrong about the lifespan and reliability of the batteries. I have an 8 year old highlander hybrid and haven't had any issues with it or its batteries.

You might want to look into it.
@30*C a lipo battery with 100% charge will lose 30% capacity in a year
@30*C a lipo battery with 40% charge will lose 5% capacity in a year.

@5*C a lipo battery with 100% charge will lose 10% capacity in a year
@5*C a lipo battery with 40% charge will lose 1-2% capacity in a year

Why do you think good chargers have a "storage charge" setting if a full charge wasn't hard on batteries?
Or laptops that have a "charge to 80%" setting.
That's why phone and laptop batteries' capacity SUCKS after a year or two.
They are always warm and they are usually above 60% charge.

Hybrids can actually be kind of awesome. They have no ignition noise, and when they run off battery they're completely silent. The luxury hybrids also have faster acceleration than normal cars because there's no mechanical parts that have to speed up, you get instant torque. Pic related, it's the most beautiful car ever made, which is also a hybrid. Without the prius, hybrid cars probably wouldn't even exist, so how bout you shut your whore mouth and learn to deal with the future?

I agree with you on the hybrid idea but I believe supercapacitors are the way to go.
MASSIVE discharge rates will allow you to have the same if not more current to the electric motor.
Hybrid makes the most sense to me as well, just not using lipo batteries and calling it "eco friendly" because they are anything but.
