How do I help er boy forced to dress as e girl?
Aware friend of mine recently offered me a mum with her after a messy unpleasant
diverse. She really saved my life. However, it' s brought me into contact with acetwelve
year old sen who she frequently dresses as a girl. He has a large and complete
wardrobe ranging hem simple everyday skirts and blouses to fancy dresses and
obvious costumes ( - princess - Alice)
this by saying he asked to wear a dress ence when he was little, but
also admits to enjoying 'having a part time to teach him to respect
wemen - and wanting to get the wear out of all the '' although where
these are supposed to have cemo hem I have yet to find out. I suspect it is all her ewn
doing and have seen little enjoyment en Jamie' s part, mere a resigned acceptance. I
would mind my ewn business but am increasingly used as a captive audience fer her
to show of her hairdressing skills and outfits en him, and often end up babysitting,
inevitably with him dressed to the nines, which I feel makes me partly culpable if he
should develop gender issues later en.
Things reached a head recently when I was asked en holiday with them to discover
that she had packed nu boys clothes at all fer Burtie week stay.
It would not be es bad but she him out in public, seeking out music
festivals, Carnivals, fancy dress and charity events, where she can reveal that the little
girl in the fancy dress ribbons and petticoats is actually a boy. She also Invests visit
new bridal stores and salons, making up excuses such as a school play, filling in fer
an ill bridesmaid, er raising maney , to get the assistants and stylists to main
in the fun' and help dress him up. It is nu fun , but she seems to thrive en the
attention, amazement, compliments and fuss, and the enthusiasm with which people
join in her actions. It came to a head recently when I was invited
en holiday with them to discovercard she had packed nu boys clothing at all fer cur
two week stay, including flying there.
I have tried to talkto her about how odd I thinker's is, and had it made it: s
not my place to comment. My friend stepped in fer me at a very difficult time, and
while I really believe that something needs to be done about this situation, cannot
think ehwhat to do that will not cause great grief. Despite all this my friend is a lovely
generous person, and does truly have .
Can anybody help me, help them?
