I'm pretty sure you can't have braces until 12-14, so not fifth grade, 7th or 8th (I don't know what Americans call those years).

Turns out he was 7th grade in this photo, I knew it.

Yeah but I'm talking about a boy here... At that age, physically girls are about 2 years ahead growth wise.

As soon as your grown up teeth are fully grown in you can get braces. Silly.

It's not just about the teeth, jaw bone and cheek bone formation are also required to mature. I had braces, I was told all of this, I had to wait until I was 14, mainly because my wisdom teeth were coming in early and I had them removed.
But the earliest person I've ever known to have braces was 11, and it causes him complications during puberty. (because of growth)

Now you're just arguing for the sake of arguin.

jesus you remind me of Quebec
User avatar #76 to #70 - defeats (01/12/2013) [-]
What does Quebec have to do with arguments? From what I hear, Canadians are a polite bunch...

I see... In Scotland we don't get taught anything about Canada, or any of America really.

of what makes And american and american

We maybe learn a little bit about scotland.

Yeah, well here's some **** . I have a growth hormone deficiency meaning I don't grow anymore. I was 12 and I got braces and I was 2-3 years behind most kids. Orthodontists work in strange ways.
User avatar #75 to #68 - defeats (01/12/2013) [-]
If you were undergoing treatment for GHD at that age it really surprises me that your orthodontist would have allowed you to have braces.
Most children will have all of their adult teeth by the time they're 13, you say you were 2-3 years behind other kids...
I'm doubting.
