Cutler > most QB's. Give him a good o-line.
User avatar #143 to #106 - oimatewtf (01/11/2013) [-]
but no doubt Cutler is a top 10 QB.

I'd personally prefer Cutler
User avatar #167 to #166 - oimatewtf (01/11/2013) [-]
If i may enjoy a friendly debate, why do you prefer cutler?
User avatar #171 to #167 - albinodogcrap (01/11/2013) [-]
Ok sure, Cutler is a quarterback with excellent physical talent. He has possibly the strongest arm in the NFL, has very good accuracy and despite questions of his character has time and time again been able to lead his team to wins without a very good offensive line which is a very difficult thing to cope with (see Philip Rivers). Schaub on the other side has always come across to me as a second rate Alex Smith, someone who with the right pieces can succeed but if anything begins to go wrong can't take over a game.
User avatar #178 to #171 - oimatewtf (01/11/2013) [-]
I think Schaub has not been up to par these last few days. But he fits the type of offense that Houston has, a run first, play action team. Which it is very hard to compare these two QB's because they do have a different play-style. Schaub can be one of the most accurate passers in the game when he doesnt over think things and just let's it go. He isn't much of the runner like Cutler is. And he did just lead the Texans to a franchise high record this year.
User avatar #188 to #178 - albinodogcrap (01/11/2013) [-]
That is a very good point, he has won games. But he has also usually had an outstanding team around him, he has arian foster, ander johnson, a solid line and a top ranked defense. Cutler on the other hand just got Brandon Marshall this season and his no 2 receiver (by receptions) has been his running back the great albeit injury prone matt forte. I think when you also look at Cutler, before the Bears defense slowed down and lost Urlacher, and had injury problems with Tillman the Bears were 7-1.
User avatar #190 to #188 - oimatewtf (01/11/2013) [-]
Then they went 7-2 i believe when Houston came to town with a banged up defense as well. We didn't have Cushing and lost Brooks Reed during the game. If you take a look at last season, we lost Johnson to i believe it was two calf injuries during the year and we really had no one else, so we needed shaub to step up and fill in the spot. He's capable of leading a team through 4 quarters, which is where i think Cutler doesnt manage so well. He hasn't been hot until the 4th. And as we all know, you cant show up on offense in the 4th to win games. it just doesnt happen

Speaking of the Blow. I think he would fit in well over Romo.
User avatar #196 to #194 - albinodogcrap (01/11/2013) [-]
Lol, not even Romo is that bad. Maybe the Cowboys do bring him in to play 4th quarters though.
User avatar #197 to #196 - oimatewtf (01/11/2013) [-]
Romo isn't bad, i think with a little work though Tebow could be a great QB. Romo just needs to work on not chocking the 4th quarter dick so much
User avatar #198 to #197 - albinodogcrap (01/11/2013) [-]
Definitely true, Romo is to inconsistent to be an elite QB and Tebow needs to work on his mechanics until he can be great but after Jacksonville said they won't be pursuing Tebow, his career might be over.
User avatar #199 to #198 - oimatewtf (01/11/2013) [-]
I think elite is a word that gets thrown around with no meaning. I don;t think it describes players to well to be honest, because Romo did pass Aikmans record for touchdowns in a career. He's always going to be the "yeah but" guy. I think a team will pick tebow up. Not everyone can come in and do what he did with the Broncos last year. i think he will end up somewhere as a starter, hell maybe even KC.
User avatar #200 to #199 - albinodogcrap (01/11/2013) [-]
KC would seem like a prime location for him to go and yea the word eliote is used to often. I personally only consider 3 QBs elite, Manning, Brady and Brees (Rodgers gets shaky at times) but I do think that if Tony Romo could fix his mental game he could be a top 5-7 QB in the league.
User avatar #201 to #200 - oimatewtf (01/11/2013) [-]
Those are 3 special QB's but their time is coming to an end. I honestly think Brady will retire within the next 3 years and same with Manning. Brees has maybe 5 more years left in him. But that's just me. I think If Reid and the GM down at KC were smart they would look into Tebow. Reid has had talent just like Tebow with Vick and knows how to refine those skills.
User avatar #202 to #201 - albinodogcrap (01/11/2013) [-]
Well as long as Reid doesn't try to force Tebow into being a pure pocket passer like he did with Vick post-2010 they should have some success.

I wanted to talk about football :(
User avatar #209 to #204 - oimatewtf (01/11/2013) [-]
Well that's retarded.

Eh, we got a lot of bandwagoners since last years run. But i have to agree most are there just because the team is one of the best in the league right meow.
User avatar #207 to #204 - oimatewtf (01/11/2013) [-]
For some reason i cannot reply to your last comment. but it would be Houston. We have been out scored 82-21 against the Pats. but it is the playoffs and anything can happen
User avatar #208 to #207 - Digitalphear (01/11/2013) [-]
Yeah you can only have like 25 comments or so in a row.

And **** the Pats. Their whole fanbase is bandwagon.

Actually agree their line has been **** for years. they keep breaking the sacks allowed in one game record every year. not a bears fan (my team lost again to Huston) but i like cutler and he could be top ten if he had a chance.

I feel like I could block better than everyone on our o-line and i'm only 6 ft 170
User avatar #146 to #125 - LSone (01/11/2013) [-]
they could at least learn to chop block (not the one you get flagged for) and that SNL skit was funnier than hell
