ONIMUSHA????? No one I know has ever played such an epic series of games....

I've only got to the second game I'm afraid. All I know is after playing the first one, I fell in love, the game is so amazing. An awesome story, lovable characters, the acting could use a bit of work, but still, amazing.

One time one of the bundles were on sale and it said that when it wasn't on sale i would have to pay like $750.00 for all the games and i though "hey that's such a good deal there is no way i could pass that up" and spent $80.00 only to find out in the future i hate almost every single game that i had just purchased MFW.

One word. Metacritic. Once you spend 5 minutes reading the reviews you will not have any bad games.

Atleast so i thought.

not good at FPSes
#46 to #43 - eccleston (01/07/2013) [-]
There are some classes (Pyro, Medic, Demoman, Engineer, Spy) that are quite different from typical FPS classes. Some classes are difficult to start, but once you start playing you'll get good. For example, I sucked at every single FPS I played, but if I have a decent team with me I can be a decent Medic.

Also, there are lots of random servers to derp around boxing, surfing, explosive jumping or other strange gamemodes (parkour, medieval, x10) that make the game completely different from normal FPS games.
User avatar #54 to #46 - RisenLichen (01/07/2013) [-]
I've played, and i have i downloaded, i just dont play it as much since i have no one to play with
#59 to #54 - anon (01/07/2013) [-]
Play some random games or find some easy going fun servers, chat a little, make some friends, then do some games with them. It's pretty easy since most people enjoy having a team of friends rather than a gaggle of mindless turkeys heading to their slaughter.

In which case that immediately takes Planetside 2, Blacklight: Retribution, Tribes: Ascend, and Hawken off the list of potent FPSes. Good games, but
Moving into other F2P games in other genres, there's an RTS Airmech you should look up.
If RPGs are more your thing I'd recomment Dungeons and Dragons Online because there's little to no grinding in it. Besides that there isn't really much to recommend.

Mind you of all FPSes it's very easy to pick up Quake-style shooters like TF2. I'd recommend going in as medic or engineer first. They are second-line troopers that are a major credit to the team. That is, assuming winning/losing ever mattered in the first place.
Once you learn the maps, basic footwork and survival you can then move on to heavy slayers like the Heavy and Soldier; they're very straightforward characters.
Pyro and Demoman are easy to pick up and difficult to master. You have to have good reactions to properly use the pyro's airblast to full effect, and the demoman can be insanely deadly if you can nail those direct hits with the grenade launcher.
Spy, scout, and sniper are the trickiest classes to play effectively. Just know that these characters are mostly about harassment and picking the right engagements.

I do enjoy RPGs
#92 to #86 - anon (01/08/2013) [-]
In that case World of Warcraft is also viable now that they've renovated their business model to allow F2P; thing is F2P players have a smaller level cap.
Lord of the Rings Online is also rumoured to be good, but I can't personally advocate that.
You may have heard about Runescape, but that's not even an RPG. There are no quests in the game that require you to assemble a raid party. There is no class system. There's an unholy amount of grinding in this game, even in the early levels. The only reason it WAS popular was because it was F2P while WoW wasn't. The only redeeming quality was its easy-to-use user interface.

It's a great way to buy games. There's also on-line play, and there is definitely a Steam community that you can sign on to while playing games and chat with other players.
Steam will also have specials, you get to buy games really cheap. Sometimes they will offer a really tremendous package in which you can get all the games of a series for a very good price; they always let you know when they are running specials.

They also have ratings of the games, so if there is a certain genre you like, and there are some games available in that genre, but you're not sure if you'd like them, you can see the ratings and read comments, which can help you decide whether you want to buy the game. My husband uses that rating system for a lot of his decisions on what to buy.
SHORT:Its a Valve's site that allows you to buy and download their games. I'm sure other sites like it will begin to pop u,Steam is not only a site, it's their content delivery system. You can install steam on any computer around the world (Windows) and then enter your password and beging to download and when that's done, play your games.
