PS4 will apparently have a system where you can't use used games on it; each individual copy of a game will have a code registered to a single system. Looks like it's PC for me next gen.
Sony's fw they release these details officially

Ikr? There are builds for really cheap but they're more expensive than the consoles and provide roughly the same framerate and graphics etc. Plus I already have a computer.
I am saving up for a £700 rig, roughly 1/7th of the way there, but by the time I've saved up I could get much better hardware, hopefully.

PS What are you runing now? Here's some of my specs:
1.2Ghz dual core processor
1GB Ram
242MB integrated graphics card

here goes.
processor: intel core i5-3570k cpu @3.40GHz $289
ram: 8gb $58
graphics: GF GTX 560 $229

And that is just part of it, the total price ended up being a little over $1400.

God That is worse than mine. 2 gig ram. duel core 2.1 ghz 800mp gpu. win7 I refuse to use win 8. I can change out My cpu in this laptop. And bitcoins are digital currency that computers create. They use the power from the computer to generate them. It is better to use a strong gpu instead of a strong cpu for mining bitcoins. You make rigs with a good gpu let them run a bitcoin program ( it is better to pool in bitcoins it combines a bunch of computers and creates bitcoins faster, YOu get paid depending on How much hash Your computer can do.) You let the program run 24/7 and it can make YOu money. the $300 rig I'm looking into making can make .15 bitcoin a day. If i can have a bunch of these and make more bitcoins. kinda like a video game. And If I get a mother board that can hold 3 graphics processors and get a high hash rate I can make a whole bitcoin a day. right now one bitcoin is worth 13.50 usd$ I think I can make a living out of it. It just takes time and money.
Here is some info on bitcoins. If You ever plan on doing bitcoins. Do not jump in head first, do lots of research. There is one guy that has over $100,000 worth of bitcoin rigs. He makes $500 a day.

Here is the website. You need to login to view this link
Look into using the beginner program. Your card is getting about 250m/hash. That would Make You about 16.50 a month usd. That is about the same about I would make with the 300 dollar rig I want to make. It is better to use ati radeon cards for mining. This link will give You better insight on the hardware You need for mining.
You need to login to view this link
Good money can be made with this. I just am having a problem getting started. And if YOu do this make sure to make a bitcoin wallet, It can get confusing sometimes.

204 m/hash 14.02 usd a month. Basically It's best to get the highest amount of stream processing unit. You multiply that number by its clock speed. that got me about 204 m/hash, And putting that number in this link tells Me how much you make money. You need to login to view this link I saw a v7900 that has 1280 spu with a 700 mhz core clock times those 2 numbers to get 928 m/hash that is 63.80 usd a month. Get a mother board that can hold 3 of these that is about $190 a month. You have to sink a lot of money in this but in time You can make it back. You have to let the rigs run 24/7

Farming confused the hell out of Me. I have made a few dollars on it, so it's legit. When making one for farming it is best to start from the bottom up. Find the one with the highest stream processing unit. Then You have to look at how much wattage it pulls. Cause You gotta pay the power bill on it, if it runs 24/7. And from what I saw the v7900 was $700 and is better than the v9800 that was $3k. So You have to look at those numbers as well. If You decide to farm, the best of luck to You. Because It gets confusing on how to do the expert stuff. Such as using command line to farm For You. And You don't need a strong cpu for farming. Just one to keep up with the gpu running at 100%

Almost ever PC game on disk has a code, which means it can only be installed once. Or the code can only be used once for Online.
You can't buy pre-owned games for PC, so it's basically the same principal.
(But you can pirate)

PC+Wii U master race. I get all the awesome multiplats with superior everything on the PC, and a bunch of exclusives and games that wouldn't be able to exist on a PC with the Wii U. The PS4 and 720 will most likely be stripped down, freedom-less PCs like they are this gen. Almost all my friends are moving to PC too, so there won't be a problem of being an outcast for me.

But on pc, this practise has been going on for years. Every game has a serial number that you enter. Even if you bought a second hand game, there would be no legitimate way of playing it.
(Yeah, on pc you can always torrent a game and crack it, but I'm talking about legitimate ways of acquiring a game. Hell, you can even copy games for the 360 and PS3 if you want.)

Two things:
1) There's no such thing as used games for PC.
2) It's a patent. A patent doesn't necessarily guarantee implementation in the next system. The patent means that if in the future other companies wish to use Sony's "technology" they would be charged. Also, there had apparently been a similar patent released nearing the release of the PS3 from Sony; as we all can see, that hasn't been used. Of course, there's always a chance that they will implement it and completely **** over acquiring games after they're no longer in production but there's no guarantee.

Um, yes there is. When you buy a used copy, someone bought it before you, so you aren't paying the company, but the company was already paid for the game that can no longer be experienced by the original buyer. When pirating no one pays the company unless it convinces them to buy it.

That's not how digital distribution works. If the price is lower, more people will buy their game. It becomes more popular, the intellectual property becomes more valuable, and there's a good chance they could make more money in the long run. Just because you charge less doesn't mean you make less.

Still wouldn't work, the companies are not looking at the gamers who check on prices constantly and try to get the best deal on the best games, they are looking at the people who hardly knows what games are and buys without thinking (Frat boys, grandmas, mothers/fathers, etc...) . That is how gamefly was made, for those nonthinkers who screwed up buying games so the big game company doesn't like the freedom of playing a game and not paying full price, so they added more dlc's and special codes to play the game (like Halo 4 and the last mission), soon they will stop the used/renting causing gamefly and gamestop to go out of business.

And they are both moving toward full motion gameplay. Which isn't a bad move for people who are morbidly obese, but for us casual gamers who are in shape and just want to chill out and play a game, it is useless. Which is why I am saving up to get a good desktop, and build an awesome PC. I will admit, I love console gaming but in the direction it's going now, it's just getting ridiculous. My prediction, 50 years from now they will be like "LOOK OUT MOTION GAMING, A NEW THING IS HERE, ITS A THING YOU HOLD IN YOUR HANDS THAT HAS BUTTONS AND YOU PLAY ALL YOUR GAMES WHILE SITTING DOWN!".

Haha exactly, I'm sick of them trying to push these new ways of playing games when a gamepad has worked just fine for 30 or so years. I prefer to sit down and relax when I play games, looks to me like PC is the only way to go from here.

no no no, you couldn't be more wrong. PS3 has the OPTION to play some games with Move. Wii/Wii U was the thing that started motion gameplay. Xbox was an alright console if you can look past the bs of having to pay to use their online, until they have been doing their best to shove Kinect down our throats, and not even for the gaming parts of it.

Not the PS3 *******, nor the 360, the NEXT GEN PS and Xbox, obviously the PS3 and 360 aren't moving toward full motion control, I have a PS3..... I was reading on a forum about the new PS and it had a diagram about the function and how to use the motion to get the menu and how to play games on it. It was like a prototype manual.
