now waht?
#53 to #1 - funnnyjunkie (01/04/2013) [-]
yes but google, like a museum, is simply making it so that information or a piece of art is more easily accessible. otherwise the information would be in a book is some library and the art would be in some wealthy persons home.

yes but lets extrapolate, say you wanted to look at van goghs painting, without said museum its realistically in someones private collection, which you cant look at.

But it's a small neighborhood. I know where they live.

I just get up, and walk to wikipedia's house and BOOM. Info.

They're thanking the guy who gave them a ride to the museum.

I thought the point of this was to credit Google for providing easy access to information rather than the information itself. Similarly, a museum can be thanked for providing access to art work.

Well google is a good search engine that makes it possible to know more about a certain subject without having to know the exact web address
User avatar #10 to #4 - heartlessrobot (01/03/2013) [-]
I've never typed out a web address. It seems incredibly impractical.
User avatar #7 to #4 - codyxvasco (01/03/2013) [-]
Understood, but I'm sure there are hundreds of other search engines like it.

But Google keeps it simple I suppose.

I remember as an elementary student when, for research projects, we had to look up all the information in textbooks and stuff from the library. It sucked.

MFW I had to do it

You know.. I've heard of some things.. Similar to Google. They can help you know more about something. They are called books, if I recall correctly.
#9 - anon (01/03/2013) [-]

spend days researching and still not find the answer you are looking for. on the plus side I never would have known much about 16th century art.
