It's people like this that make a bad name for bisexual people.

Not tryin to be a dick, because I agree with you, but I've known 4 bisexuals in my life, and 3 of them were scene whores you pretended to be bi to get attention. One of them has been in multiple long term relationships with men and woman, so I can respect that. I know what you mean, but i feel like it's less "give us a bad name" and more "scene whores are much louder about their sexuality, giving the impression that they are the majority".
User avatar #9 to #8 - heartlessrobot (01/01/2013) [-]
I've only ever told my gf and people on the internet, I'm still not fully comfortable with it around people I know.
User avatar #15 to #9 - mortality (01/01/2013) [-]
I tell people. Friends know, coworkers know because i became friends with most of them, I see them upwards of eight hours a day so we get into conversations about lots of things. But when I was in school, there were a lot of bi girls that everyone knew about, but no one knew about me, because there's a huge difference between telling people and broadcasting. Even now, countless people could read this, but they'll never know who to tie the personal information to, so it doesn't really matter. And by the end of school, those girls who were broadcasting their bisexuality, were straight. And two years out of school, the people who didn't feel a need to let everyone know were the ones who were still the same, myself among them.
User avatar #10 to #9 - ThpiderMan (01/01/2013) [-]
Exactly, scene whores are incredibly loud about their supposed sexuality.

"woooo BOTDF. i listen to them while i dye my hair to match the rainbow. i just love how the guys in the band look exactly ******* like me, and how i look exactly ******* like every other scene queen! it's okay though because im an individual" **** off.

BOTDF made my ears bleed when I first listened to them. It is just annoying assholes whining about sex to dubstep slowed down.

self harming is one thing but showing it off (especially via a social network) just becomes a mean of attention seeking rather than a form of a psychological defence mechanism. I've cut myself before (even felt suicidal) but I don't go showing it off to people. I usually keep it between myself and myself only.
#233 to #217 - anon (01/01/2013) [-]
You keep it to yourself only and still you post it on FJ?

I've got a feeling that this is a problem with a lot of kids from the facebook generation. It seems they do things not to experience them anymore, but rather to show everyone how interesting and cool they are.

It makes me want to kick those little bitches asses

it really sucks when you know someone who was okay but then they start going thru that **** . they have one hair color and then they dye it. you think nothing of it, then they dye it again, and you think they just didn't like the color so they changed it. a week later they've had every color of the rainbow, are addicted to X (thats what the scene queens in my town love) and they're making statuses about how they're individual and love everyone (when they really start tons of **** ) and talking endlessly about stupid ****

"everyone bullies me for my music tastes"
oh god. it's kinda true though.
pop/rock fans make fun of them for liking "screamo devil music"
metal fans think they're total scum for liking a ****** , watered down knock off of metal.
maybe if they'd shut the **** up about how inspirational their generic garbage is, we'd make fun of them less.

yeah, but that's just them in general.
i find it even funnier how so many of them make up ******** stories about how hard their lives are. it's to the point where i've heard scenies from different countries repeat the EXACT SAME SOB STORY. down to the names of the people involved.
it's ******* hilarious

i'm a professional death metal musician. scenies run every booking agency in my city (small market for underground music)
my band has literally been screwed over in every possible way, because we refuse to conform to their ******** . needless to say, i have a very healthy hatred of scenies.

and then they have personalities so infuriating i want to punch them every time they open their mouth.

Well as long as you two trust each other, then at some point, you two can decide to move together at some point some years further into the future.
User avatar #293 - skysailor (01/02/2013) [-]
I have no problem with the scene sub culture. Individuality is a great thing, and you should just do what you love.

But across every single fad, culture, or whatnot, there are always people you can't help but want to high five in the face with a chainsaw.
