Was probably put there by a Shrike, better known as a butcher bird
they catch small insects and impale them on thorns and barbed wire fences

step 1: find a bee
step 2: kill it
step 3: stab it onto a fence
step 4: take a picture
step 5: upload it
step 6: collect thumbs while eating honey that the bees family produced. just to add . insult to injury

I believe we have here the future meal of a Shrike, a family of birds characterized by their habit of impaling their prey onto thorns, or in this case, barbs, saving them for later meals. It's also actually a behavioral evolution, allowing them to eat certain toxic animals by allowing the poison to break down over several days, rather than eat it then and there.

On the whole, a fairly well, metal bird.
