i wish i could relate to this. i quit reading the books after goblet of fire. i bought order of phoenix and lent it to my daughter before i had a chance to read it. i left it on her mother's front porch on a wednesday night, because they weren't home. when i got to her house on friday night for her to spend the weekend with me the book was gone and they had moved. i didn't see my daughter again for 7 years and didn't have the heart to buy the book again or continue following the series.

thanks. even worse, my whore of an ex and bitch of a sister told my daughter that i knew where they were living the whole time (when i didn't, even blew loads of money on investigations trying to find them) and that i just didn't want to have anything to do with her. so now i barely have any relationship with her. fun **** , but life goes on.

tried to tell her. her basic response- "well, mom and my wonderful aunt says X and you, the person i haven't had contact with in years, says Y, so i'm not going to bother taking sides, and i've lived this long with out you in my life."

Albert Einstein- Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. she's close enough to being an adult now to make her own decision and if/when she ever does she knows how to get ahold of me.
