Well, at least that is the effect they have on a larger scale. Everybody hates the WBC, and the WBC hates gays which makes people become more accepting of gays. And the WBC are so stupid if they don't realize that.... Yah, I'm thinking pro gay.

considering their website says this:

WBC has suffered unrelieved reproach for warning you. Now, we will happily assist in the magical fairy princessistration of the universal outpouring of God's wrath, which shall imminently commence with the brightness of His coming.

I don't think they're ******* around.

I have legitimately never met nor spoken to one who's on the scientific side of it.

well here i am
i dislike the corruption of the human gene code and wish for humanity to finally sort gene science out to prevent birth defects
User avatar #404 to #402 - xxxdemongirl (12/30/2012) [-]
I would imagine it would be very difficult, if not downright impossible. By the time a doctor even schedules the first prenatal appointment for a woman (roughly 8-10 weeks), the embryo already has all the pieces of genetic information. It has all of the chromosomes already. For any other medical care to happen in that pregnancy, the first prenatal visit is a must to get proof of pregnancy from an OB.
Amniocentesis would need to be done, and that's not done until the second trimester, and only done if a woman is deemed 'at risk' for her baby to develop a serious birth defect, because it is risky for both the fetus and the mother.
In order for what you are suggesting to actually work, someone would need to develop the technology to change a single part of the DNA sequences in every cell, after they have already been specialized and all the major organs have developed. That is so far into the future, it shouldn't be expected or counted on during your lifetime, or the lifetime of your children or your grandchildren.
And your hypothetical futuristic argument also falls flat if the parents of those children aren't willing to risk the life of the fetus that they already have an attachment to, just to make sure that he or she doesn't grow up homosexual or transsexual.
User avatar #405 to #404 - konradkurze (12/30/2012) [-]
well, firstly one can go through selection where only a healthy sperm and egg are picked and artificially combined and placed inside a healthy mother, and monitored stage by stage
there can be hormone treatments all the way to ensure that the growing fetus remains clean all the way, and special therapy to ensure the mother doesnt have any emotional traumas that may impact the baby

i know the technology to engineer perfection is far off now but we have to make a start somewhere...all science starts somewhere

as for growing up....sexuality isnt a taught thing, its a instinctive impulse, teachings only create a conscious process in how the individual deals with those impulses

- a kid born straight that picks up on alot of gay influences may not be true gay but might experiment with others of their much as a kid born gay picks up on straight influences may feel too guilty to open up to their impulses
User avatar #409 to #405 - xxxdemongirl (12/30/2012) [-]
Furthermore, why would anyone who can reproduce the natural way go through the costliness and trouble of artificially creating a child, just to avoid the possibility of homosexuality?
User avatar #408 to #405 - xxxdemongirl (12/30/2012) [-]
Most people wouldn't want to reproduce in a lab like that... Many think that it's not a loving, intimate way to create a child, and life should only start in a petri dish if there's some sort of issue with the natural way, such as implantation problems.
I also did not state anywhere in my argument that it's a taught thing. I know sexuality isn't taught. If it was, I'd be straight as an arrow because of the "traditional family" nature of my household, and my sheltered life, not being allowed to be around anyone but straight, Christian people until I went to college. As it turns out, I'm a bi-gendered pansexual, and I've known since I was 13.
User avatar #411 to #408 - konradkurze (12/31/2012) [-]
well it of course would have teething issues nowadays until science has the method perfected, but it should one day be possible to engineer it so potential parents could undergo treatment so that their bodies are completely healthy in the reproduction area, women only make healthy eggs, men healthy sperm, so no chance of defects no matter the lottery in there for egg-sperm

that way there can be the loving intimate way to procreate without the random chance of mutant babies

for you, are you bi-gender? you have guy bits too? if you meant that youre into both sides thats part of're open to sleep with pretty much most things
User avatar #412 to #411 - xxxdemongirl (12/31/2012) [-]
bi-gender means that there are some times that I feel like the opposite of my biological gender. it's not trans, because it's not all the time that I feel that way, and having both is a hermaphrodite, and has nothing to do with orientation.

With "Most people wouldn't want to reproduce in a lab like that... Many think that it's not a loving, intimate way to create a child, and life should only start in a petri dish if there's some sort of issue with the natural way, such as implantation problems" comment, I was stating that the majority of sexually healthy people would rather create babies the old-fashioned way, with sex. THAT'S the loving and intimate way to create a child. Like I said, most people feel that life should only start in a Petri dish if there's some sort of fertility problem, so even if science DID perfect it, most people with morals wouldn't go to it anyway.
There's also the issue of how much it would cost. Sex is free, in vitro costs thousands of dollars. Then there's the other hundreds for prenatal visits and ultrasounds, and the other thousands for labor and delivery and hospitalization.
About sex therapy treatment, that also would cost thousands of dollars a year to keep up.
I honestly don't know of anyone other than you who would pay that much to make sure that their child isn't a homosexual.
User avatar #413 to #412 - konradkurze (12/31/2012) [-]
not just avoiding homos, but ANY defects
all in all its better to make the investment, not only would it mean less money spent on all the special elements used to cater to defect kids, but also would help avoid the live of being a social stigmata

with so much anti in the world, why birth a kid merely to be another victim
pretty sadistic really,
User avatar #415 to #413 - xxxdemongirl (01/02/2013) [-]
If the world in continually more accepting, like it is today and will continue to advance, I don't see the point, personally.
I personally don't think that homosexuality is a birth defect, because it does not affect development in any way, shape, or form. It is a mutation of a gene, yes, but if you argue that you dislike gene mutation, you can also argue that you dislike evolution. Evolution came about because of gene mutation. There are also several other things due to gene mutation that are quite beautiful. Heterochromia, for instance, which can be very gorgeous. I have the form of heterochromia where there is a distinctly different color around the pupil than the rest of the iris. Red hair is actually a mutation, as well as blonde. So are blue eyes, and green. By having NO gene mutations from the normal, everyone would be walking around with tanned skin, straight brown hair, and dark brown eyes. No freckles, everyone the same height, the same bone structure, the same shoe size. All girls would have the same breast and areola size. The world would be boring to look at.
User avatar #416 to #415 - konradkurze (01/02/2013) [-]
there are a mixture of defects, some people get born with physical deformities, some have mental issues, some have both.
there are many people who are born normal on the outside but have psychological issues that affect how theyr interact with the retards, schizos, manic depressives....and gays are also mental defects (transgenders also have the issue of developing physical problems)

there are mutations that are beneficial to the human race but some that are detrimental - natures way of balancing out the good and the bad
User avatar #417 to #416 - xxxdemongirl (01/02/2013) [-]
Like I said, it would cost more to have every woman produce genetically perfect eggs and men to produce genetically perfect sperm through gene therapy than it would to pay for, say, cord blood donations or stem cell procedures after birth. My cousin has autism and cerebral palsy. i'm about to have a baby. The umbilical cord blood from my baby will be donated to my cousin, and it will cost less than continuous gene therapy would have.
There are other options for treatment after birth, rather than altering the genetic code before.
User avatar #418 to #417 - konradkurze (01/02/2013) [-]
yeah but how would gene therapy cure say someone born with flippers for arms/legs
bit hard to pump him full of cells to make him grow limbs after birth

and would gene therapy really solve mental problems or just ease them a bit and the people will still be mental just less so, and would they still pass on the mental mutations to offspring?
User avatar #419 to #418 - xxxdemongirl (01/02/2013) [-]
Alright. I do understand where you are coming from. But if you only hate the harmful gene mutations, but are in favor of neutral or beneficial ones, why hate the mutation that causes homosexuality? That is a neutral gene mutation, much like red hair.
User avatar #420 to #419 - konradkurze (01/02/2013) [-]
well if anything homosexuality is natures way to stop humanity from overpopulating....but then again, with gays being allowed to adopt,...and on the other angle, sluts not keeping their legs closed, and 3rd world familes popping out kids to increase survival rates.....its not helping any

and part of the mental issue, further cursed by the negative media image, a number of gays see some need to rub it in people's faces
you dont see retards and psychos preaching what they are, you dont have them dancing in the street showing off what they why are gays allowed to advertise themselves
User avatar #421 to #420 - xxxdemongirl (01/02/2013) [-]
If gays weren't allowed to adopt, the orphanages and foster homes would be so much more full, causing the government to have to pay for them all. It's not the gays fault if other people choose to have too many babies.

And the reason gays feel the need to parade around is because they are in a battle. A battle to be recognized as legitimate citizens, like they are recognized in 9 states so far. If you don't like PRIDE parades, ignore them. Very simple. I don't like them either. Yet I support the marriage equality because they are still people, they have feelings, they know what's going on, they are consenting, and they are not mentally disabled.

well remove all the sluts who pop kids out regularly then just end up taken away by child welfare, that lowers the number of kids needing attention
plus the families who didnt plan kids but are forced to have them by laws that ban abortion

they arent a mental disability in the mainstream sense, mostly because mental disabilities get special treatment in alot of areas of life, thus if gays were 'disabled' theres a ton they could get away with, but they ARE a mental defect that causes behaviour outside the norm

sad how some minorities do have the option of one day fitting in, but others never will,
people of alternate sexuality will end up welcomed in but peoples of certain other religions or political ideals will forever be pissed on by the system
User avatar #424 to #422 - xxxdemongirl (01/02/2013) [-]
It is sad but I'm confident that one day, gays will be accepted everywhere. There are a great many people of religion that are starting to throw out the Old Testament and accept gays.
