with the amounts used you wouldn't have killed anyone just had bad tasting pancakes
User avatar #4 to #2 - Faz (12/28/2012) [-]
might be to do furniture polish being highly flammable, spray that onto a pan being cooked with an open flame and bad things will happen...
User avatar #5 to #4 - sparkyoneonetwo (12/28/2012) [-]
That's not really true if you are spraying it into the pan it shouldn't ever touch the flame. Also, you shouldn't start with a hot pan then spray **** into it best to grease a cold pan then heat it less chance of it burning the cooking spray/butter/oil what ever you grease you pans with. there are exceptions to that thought when making some things
User avatar #27 to #5 - daentraya (12/28/2012) [-]
Some people flame things with alcohol when cooking. A quick response would make it no problem, even if it did catch fire and made a big fireball or some **** , which it wont.
#19 to #5 - gjsmothefirst (12/28/2012) [-]
Oddly enough, flammable things catch fire when heated...
User avatar #20 to #19 - sparkyoneonetwo (12/28/2012) [-]
but, if you are cooking the right why you would know it wasn't cooking spray long before it got hot enough to catch fire
#23 to #20 - gjsmothefirst (12/28/2012) [-]
When you say "the right way" I hope you realize that's only an opinion.

Best pancakes I ever had (and still have every day) are made by heating the pan first, then throwing in a chunk of butter and spreading it around - you can't even do this if you start with a cold pan, since the butter needs to melt.

Pan-fried stuff is also usually made by first heating the pan, then adding oil.
User avatar #26 to #23 - sparkyoneonetwo (12/28/2012) [-]
If you read what I said before" there are exceptions to that thought when making some things"
Also depending on what you are frying you don't have to use oil at all just a hot pan an meat it frys in it's own grease
Other time you don't oil the pan at all you brush oil on the meat or what ever you are frying the put it in the pan
All deepns on what you or cooking or how you want it cooked.

"pan-fried" is nothing more than anything that gets fryed in a pan there are hundreds of ways to do it
#32 to #26 - gjsmothefirst (12/28/2012) [-]
It's still really opinion, you can cook almost any way you want.
Never fried meat it its own grease, probably because that doesn't happen. Cooking is not frying.
Pan-fried can be done many ways, yes, but the most typical way is in a thin layer of oil.

None of this changes the fact that flammable furniture polish would still catch fire, actually, if heated - even if sprayed on a cold pan first. It would still reach a certain temperature (eventually) and catch fire.
User avatar #33 to #32 - sparkyoneonetwo (12/28/2012) [-]
frying meat in its own grease is done quite a bit not things like chicken cuz a lot of the time chicken makes so much juice it would boil the meat not fry it

but, things like stakes an other cuts of cows bacon is a big one you don't need anything but, a pan and heat to make bacon it frys in its own grease.

I love how it says "Butter taste", so you are sure it's some chemical junk you are putting on your food and no actual butter product
#99 to #59 - Rascal (12/29/2012) [-]
It's cooking spray... not actual butter. It's so the pancake mix won't stick

User avatar #92 to #53 - deaththorne (12/29/2012) [-]
momento mori, art form which is supposed to remind one of the short but sweetness of life, the mouse and skull represent life and death, just as the butter and furniture polish are supposed to represent life and almost death, in a way.
