Actually all chainsaws have a safety so the blade won't start spinning in that situation as the safety trigger isn't depressed. All that's going to happen is the motor in the saw will start up...his balls are safe.

actauly it is plausable it will or mite happen it not like saftey locks catchs etc are 100% effective you can easly disable it as well.

The safety switch is for the throttle trigger, It doesn't prevent the blades from spinning if for example you have the idle set so high the blades spin constantly or primed the saw a little to much before start up. The safety is only there to prevent the throttle from being pushed by accident.

Chainsaws I used have a safety on the throttle only, and to start them you lock the throttle down...
hence, balls are not safe.
