"....the one your media told you to be sad about"

Pretty sure I would know that kindergarteners being killed is sad without someone telling me it is.

How dare Americans be upset about the deaths of their own people!

You know what I'm angry about?
The ******* art style on this comic. Seriously, I stared for 5 minutes and I still don't get what like half the lines are supposed to represent.

no one cares about brown people

It's because those are wartorn countries that are seeing violence day after day.
The USA on the other hand, especially primary schools, is normally pretty safe, so you feel bad that something like that happened.

It's not saying that the people in other parts of the world are less important, it's like if you are watching porn, day after day you see the same people, hunter bryce, audrey bitoni, kodi gamble, etc. Then suddenly you see your neighbour, the uptight normal everyday person. It throws you for a loop.

Beautiful analogy, and it involved porn. 10/10
#39 to #29 - anon (12/23/2012) [-]
It's not because those are wartorn countries. Obama likes to use drone strikes - quite a lot, and there's a lot of collateral damage that they deem acceptable, including children.

So basically if you feel bad that 20 kids were murdered you're a terrible person

Seems legit
#34 to #32 - anon (12/23/2012) [-]
I don't feel bad for those 20 children, because they're not from my country.

Posted by the same person who probably who only talks about domestic abuse when Chris Brown is brought up. Go **** yourself OP, you and your **** head title.

You are the obnoxious hipster of child murder.

"Hey, you going to the candle light vigil for the victims?"
"PSH, so mainstream. I'm mourning another child massacre, it's pretty obscure though, you probably haven't heard of it."
#5 to #4 - duski [OP](12/22/2012) [-]
Everybody should be sad about the murder of the children, but nobody cares that this happens elsewere also, and directly as a consequence of the USA policy and actions.

Also, why do people wonder that this happened, and completely ignore that they consider their sovereign right to be to be able for any idiot to buy an automatic assault weapon?

Theyre not telling you to stand back and ignore the death of children in your own country, Theyre telling you to recognise the copious amount of children that your military are killing overseas.
User avatar #65 to #63 - reaperssprint (12/23/2012) [-]
Shut the **** up, seriously. This is the one thing that pisses me off the most. "OMG, American soldiers are killing children." They aren't walking into a ******* country and shooting children, its casualties of war. Is it right? No, but it happens. People like you tend to forget that every ******* country has a military, you don't think people in your military have killed children on accident?

Get off your high horse and go find somewhere else to be an uneducated band-wagon jumper.
User avatar #66 to #65 - roryod (12/23/2012) [-]
The fact is your country doesn't need to be at war. All of your soldiers think they are American heroes. They are NOT. They are just pawns eating out of the hands of wealthier resource craving Americans, Do you seriously believe any of Americas wars aren't primarily fought for resources?
User avatar #68 to #66 - reaperssprint (12/23/2012) [-]
Did I say that? No, you are just feeding off the information you have seen other people try and use. Believe me, there is no American soldier that comes back thinking they are a hero. Almost every soldier comes back and get right back to living their lives without even mentioning the war, that only in the case that they don't have PTSD. Those that are shown as heroes tend to have that title only if they have gone above and beyond to save fellow soldiers or civilians.

Many soldiers are soldiers because they don't have much other choice, they may need cheaper college, come from a military family, or simply have little other choices in careers. Do we Americans agree with these wars we are thrown into? If you think we do then you are ******* retarded. However, we don't have any choice. The government really doesn't care what the American population thinks in terms of war.

However, to claim us as the bad people because children die in war is just as dumb, and remember that there is not a single country out there that goes to war for any reason other than interest in resources. So before you go around spouting that Americans are bad people, think about how many pointless wars your country has fought. Also, think about the secret operations you don't even ******* hear about.

So we shouldn't be sad about a massacre that happens in our own country?
User avatar #9 - teseus (12/22/2012) [-]
I am almost certain that after a while people are going to make jokes about these children.
I might get showered in red thumbs, but here's the thing: I don't give a **** about the massacre. You know why? Because being assholes is in our genes.
For example, countless of people (including ********* of innocent children) were killed by the Nazis and now on FJ we are making Hitler jokes or post pictures of those dead people and laugh about it. We are doing this because that happened long ago and the memory of those times is not in our recent memory.

Isn't there anyone else that can see the hypocrisy behind every post/comment who goes like: "RIP those poor children, that sick bastard had no right to kill children"? I don't get it how people can say that AFTER laughing at "hitlerious" posts... this makes me even more disgusted by the human race than the massacre itself...
#11 to #9 - anon (12/23/2012) [-]
Same thing with cancer-posts on facebook, maybe a video of a dog getting beaten, and people are all like " **** , if I was there i would have fking smashed his face in and killed him!". I mean, does this make them any better then the people on the video?

We. as humans. we're greedy. arrogant. anything not directly tied to us we brush off as being just another small bump in a road we can't ever envision ourselves on. people look at the past and think "it's happened. not to me. to them. and it won't happen again" but they're wrong. history has a tendency of repeating itself, i personally think society has forgotten this. we are doomed to obscurity sheltered by what we're spoon fed by the media and social outlets. they are destroying us, for what? ratings? more money in their paychecks? their opulence equals our sociological decimation. but i am just one person with a single opinion on the matter. so does it even count as a voice. No

It's because nazi puns are easier to make than ones about a shooting in some arbitrary elementary school in Connecticut.
User avatar #49 - demandsgayversion (12/23/2012) [-]
There's war in those places. Nobody is surprised when a kid is killed in a war zone. It's sad, yes, but not surprising. But when someone shoots up an elementary school at home, where you're supposed to be safe, then of course people are gonna notice.
