I say we let the homo people do what they want, I'm not pro or anything but at this point gay Marriage is the least of our problems. Legalize it so that's one less headache. They're more of a nuisance than anything else.

People who believe that homosexuality is wrong are still ******* fools, even if they are tolerant.

I dont think homosexuality is wrong, I just don't support it. I accept people how they are but you can't expect everyone to think everything is right

ones sexuality has nothing to do with race, nor they are treated the same way. If you support it, good for you, I don't, simple as that

Homosexuality isn't even wrong in the eyes of God to begin with..just misinterpretations repeated down.

"If a man has sex with another man, kill them both." Leviticus 20:13
can you explain how I misinterpreted this?
User avatar #171 to #166 - kabizus (12/21/2012) [-]
But that's the old testament, and Christians don't listen to the old testament anymore.
User avatar #173 to #171 - thebritishguy (12/21/2012) [-]
well in that case this is from the new testament, "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1 Timothy 2:11-14 (NLT)
11Women should listen and learn quietly and ************ . 12I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly. 13For God made Adam first, and afterward he made Eve. 14And it was the woman, not Adam, who was deceived by Satan, and sin was the result.

so you must be one of those people that read the Bible to "find" any way to contradict Christian religion, instead of reading the WHOLE chapter to see what it really meant.
,,l,, pathetic
User avatar #135 to #134 - torkildsen (12/20/2012) [-]
Indeed, it's all about how you/they want it to be
User avatar #170 to #135 - thebritishguy (12/20/2012) [-]
what do you mean "they"?
#124 - thebritishguy (12/20/2012) [-]
I don't understand what people mean when they say "I don't agree with homosexuality" it isn't a topic or a political view, it's like saying "I don't agree with people having blue eyes" people are just gay and it isn't a choice, it is impossible to agree or disagree with it, which makes me wonder what people really mean when they say they don't agree with homosexuality
User avatar #175 to #124 - noodlelover (12/23/2012) [-]
They mean they think it's wrong i guess

Hitler didn't agree with Jews. He was a brilliant person.
#159 to #154 - thebritishguy (12/20/2012) [-]
no, Hitler was silly
User avatar #128 to #124 - Kellanved (12/20/2012) [-]
A lot of people believe it is in fact a choice. And I always ask, "Tell me, when did you sit down and make the conscious choice to be straight? Or did you just always know it? Did you have a choice? Could you suddenly decide to desire people of the same gender and not the opposite gender?" Some say they can, which only makes them seem all the more ridiculous.
User avatar #136 to #128 - thebritishguy (12/20/2012) [-]
I'm glad to hear you stand up for gay people, homophobia is a really big issue and it has just become casual, I find it really hard to speak out though because I am pretty timid and awkward
User avatar #140 to #136 - Kellanved (12/20/2012) [-]
Being bi myself and engaged to another man it'd be kinda silly of me not to stand up for gay rights. ^_^

gay marriage should technically be legal in every state, as well as ********* , but for some reason the government ignores this clause:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Faith_and_Credit_Clause

It basically says that if one state passes a law, every other state should adopt that law as well.

As for op's response, it is questionable, but then again look at the content above.

- "In God we trust on our national currency"
- God in the pledge of allegiance that school children are forced to say every day
- Almost every President we've ever had was a Christian, or at least claimed to be
- Westboro Baptist Church is allowed to harass grieving families at funerals, but the Wall Street protesters are attacked and dispersed for voicing their opinion peacefully

Sure, our government isn't ruled by Christianity anymore. Just like how we're no longer ruled by the upper class in society, and the powerless working class gets **** on on a regular basis.

I personally believe in homosexuals being together but, just calling it something else. I think this because marriage is a biblical term which states that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Don't get me wrong, I believe homosexuals should have the right to enjoy the benefits of marriage but, calling it marriage just isn't right in my eye. Thats because instead of marriage being traditional, it's now more of an effect of pop culture. Examples could be the short length of the Kardasian marriage or shows like "Bridezilla."
#113 to #95 - infinitephoenixb (12/20/2012) [-]
Marriage in the bible, lol. Genesis 16:3, Abram has multiple wives. Deuteronomy 25:5-10, Levirate marriage. Exodus 21:1-6, slave marriage. Man's obligation to marriage = 0, Deuteronomy 22:13-21. Jesus doesn't like marriage, Matthew 19:29; Mark 10:28-30; Luke 9:57-62. gay marriage, 1st Samuel 18:21. Jonathan and David ****** with Saul's blessing, 1st Samuel 20:30. Non-consensual marriage, Numbers 31:1-18.
