this is much simpler then twisting a cap off...

cutting the tip off a bag once,
twisting the cap off a carton 20 times.

kinda seems that it IS simpler.

what happens when exposed to air

a bag will last a week after being openned. and thats why there are 4L (or a gallon) of milk, into three bags. so the two that are not openned stay fresh longer.
#290 to #280 - hellsjester (12/11/2012) [-]
which brings us back to original statement...

The point of this is being economic, both space and money-wise.
Bags are cheaper than boxes.
"but you put them in recipient thingies bla bla bla"
One at a time, and the rest you can store in a much smaller space.

In brazil we too have bagged milk.
User avatar #635 to #509 - spysappinmysasha (12/11/2012) [-]
doesnt look like the pack of bags even has as much as an American Gallon. Wasting all that space just to hold opening kits and storage kits for these bags seems like a bigger waste than storing 1 or 2 Gallons in the back of the fridge.
User avatar #660 to #635 - ponieskilledmyacc (12/11/2012) [-]
Yeah, but if you think about it, doesn't every carton of milk come with it's own "opening kit?" It's like using 110% of space for the open one and about 90% for the stored ones, but that's just a guess.
#1216 to #660 - theplankof (12/12/2012) [-]
No. A cap is a cap. Not a complex opening kit.
User avatar #1217 to #1216 - ponieskilledmyacc (12/12/2012) [-]
And a scissor is not a complex open kit either.

how?
is there a ******* milk fairy out there?
does she go like "oh hey, some fresh milk lets make it UN-fresh!"
"here we go-HOLY DICK NIPPLES, IS THAT A BAG!?!?"
" **** that **** , i ain't touching that bag"
and then she flies away
that would be a ******* scientific breakthrough, BIG NEWS!!! bags are fairy repellent
User avatar #453 to #448 - mattseven (12/11/2012) [-]
It doesn't have time to become "un-fresh", as you say it so well. It usually lasts only 2-3 days...
#476 to #453 - ompalomper (12/11/2012) [-]
-hey, i just had the greatest idea
-what is it?
-lets sell milk, IN A ******* BAG!!!
-but how do you re-seal it?
-you don't! we make them so ******* small that they won't have time to get old
-so you mean that instead of making a reusable, re-salable, environmental friendly and larger package we instead make a ******** of small bags?
-eyup
- ******* GENIUS!!!

and then the rode a moose over a rainbow into the sunset
User avatar #496 to #476 - mattseven (12/11/2012) [-]
Yeah, because complaining to me is SOOOO going to help. Being Canadian doesn't make me the creator of bagged milk. I'm just telling the facts to you, so stop being a bitch and go on with your oh so wonderful re-sealable milk bottles. Plus, the bags aren't that small.
User avatar #519 to #496 - ompalomper (12/11/2012) [-]
to be honest i don't know what the **** im talking about. we don't have milk bottles here in sweden, just some kind of half re-sealable milk cartons
User avatar #523 to #519 - mattseven (12/11/2012) [-]
Oh, those are nice too. Looks like Canada doesn't like re-sealable things...
User avatar #530 to #523 - ompalomper (12/11/2012) [-]
but we DO have bagged oatmeal and jam (not cookie dough though, those bastards), why do people like bags so much?

he made it seem like more work than it is. put bag in container, cut end, pour. and it's cheaper to buy it bagged than in a carton.

No but seriously... its not how you drink milk from a bag that baffles me, its why the **** you would even put milk in a bag? Is it more efficient to store, require less materials.... I mean just WHY?
User avatar #413 - wheresthefudge (12/11/2012) [-]
Steps necessary to drink Canadian Bagged Milk:
1) Buy milk
2)Open bag
3)Remove smaller bags from bag
4) Place one of the smaller bags in a pitcher
5)Open now-pitchered smaller bag
6)Pour milk into cup
7)Drink milk
Steps necessary to drink normal carton/jug milk.
1)Buy milk
2)Open carton/jug
3)Pour milk into cup or other milk-capture device
4)Enjoy your freedom milk
And Americans are the stupid ones for not understanding bagged milk? Ok then....
#480 - CollinTB (12/11/2012) [-]
Everything about that, from production to use, seems like more of a hassle than just using a carton.
