Letting Turkey into the EU was the worst thing we ever did. The cultural difference between Turkey and the rest of Europe is substantial. I find them to be rude on the most part. I have been short changed and even had my change stolen by Turkish shopkeepers and restaurant owners, on many occasions. I'm honestly no racist, this is entirely based on personal experience. Seriously though why would we let a country that thinks it's okay for all the men without partners in the town take it in turns to **** a donkey, into the EU? It's true, I swear, look it up if you want.

I lived in germany for one year when i was 10, back in 2001 and one group of turkeys kids beat the crap out of me becuase i made fun of one of them, they are really ruining one of the best cultures in the world, and they are not nazis, not even a bit, in fact they all regreat and they all feel shame about all that crap, the problem is that turkeys are like 500 years behind in terms of tolerance and all that, seriously they are the worst part of germany

Oh come on!!! You can't judge 75 million people based on your experiences.. I have been to so many different countries, east and west and I've had good and bad experiences in both. You get **** whereever you go in the world and it's because of the individual. Do not generalize!! :)

btw for them is ok to steal if no one is like for example i once left my bicycle like leave it outside the door of my house with no key,for them thats enough to take possession of whatever , they justified themselves with those arguments really i mean really, I am chilean and my culture is very similar so my mother made friends and all, plus my grandmother was german so that was ok, we fit , but they are so different that they dont adapt to the country, is like the country has to adapt to them, thats their actitude , seriously they suck, thank god we dont have that crap in my country

They're an associate member of the western branch, not full members, still a part of the EU though... Gettin real tired of saying this, if you read the thread you would have seen it. Captain Queef.

The EU has all of its neighbors categorized into different alliances/sectors. Doesn't make them ******* members.

Hey dude, im turkish myself, don't worry no butthurt here i completely agree with the way most turks are, rude, arrogant, you know standard dicks, my mate recently got his phone stolen off him by a bunch of turkish guys and it pisses me off too with how idiotic some are, sorry for any hate you got on them.

You're the reason I never judge an entire country on a handful of experiences. There are always nice, understanding people to be found in any country.

#398 to #393 - sublimerule (12/10/2012) [-]
Well, having travelled most of europe, you're right, you can get tricked if you're stupid in any country. However, the only only people that seem to rip me off in my own country are Turkish. I said this is based on personal experience. You're anon, your argument is invalid.

i get your point as i am half turkish half german myself. your experience at the shopkeepers and restaurant owners are not the common thing though, you get tricked in every country. and concerning the cultural argument: it is simply invalid. look at bulgaria for example which joined the eu recently. it is full of gypsies who will try to clean your car's front window and they will force you to pay them, otherwise they'll scratch your car. ok, this may be an exception, too, but i see this every year when i travel to turkey from germany by car. other ex yugoslavian countries share the same criminal spirit, you can see much corruption there, too. turkey is changing the last 10-20 years, getting more and more 'western', i have seen the difference myself. it is either turkey joins the arab countries or turkey joins the eu. what would you like more such a powerful country (2nd biggest economical growth rate worldwide in 2011) to do? >I'm honestly no racist

Get a backbone for god sakes. This isn't school, this isn't Soviet Russia. Racism was a term coined by Leon Trotsky and is used only as a buzzword, don't give it credit. It's a parrot-word, if you know what I mean.

Don't be afraid of people calling you "racist." It's a Communist-word afterall and heads no real argument. Spit in their face and tell them they're a dirty commie the next time someone tries to pull that stunt on you. And NEVER in a comment ever again say "I'm honestly no racist" because it makes you look weak.

Your concerns with Turkey are legitimate and it needs no defensive positioning on your part.

This is a discussion of the West's future. Nobody is insulting Turks, we're just critiquing modern society for the betterment of civilization. When you say that most White people are whining individualists, as an example, you're actually quite right. That's a problem which needs to be dealt with in time.

I think its alright to dislike a culture that has no shame in steal and they are rude and they all make separate groups and hang out with others from their own culture , like they dont adapt to the country, i think its alright to be angry and all, but being racist is very very different, because you dont have rational arguments , no racist guy has them, if he says he no racist , thats because he really mean it , seriously its all about culture, if you raise a muslim child in a normal open-minded family , hes probably end up to be a nice guy, its all about their culture, racism is crap and always has being that way, rational arguments

saying 'racism was invented by commies' is insane, man. Really insane. Incorrect as well.
User avatar #431 to #421 - techketzer (12/10/2012) [-]
In the Soviet Union, political enemies were often labeled insane and transferred into "mental asylums" in order to silence them.
Quite ironic what you are doing here, considering that.

And, no, it's true.
The first recorded use of the word "racist" is in Leon Trotzky's "The History of the Russian Revolution" from 1930, referring to traditionalist Slavs.
User avatar #434 to #431 - bigmanfifty (12/10/2012) [-]
Well the OED says the word was around from at least 1902.

so the Nazi definition of Jews as 'untermenschen' was what, exactly? An immigration policy?
User avatar #435 to #434 - techketzer (12/10/2012) [-]
"Well the OED says the word was around from at least 1902. "
Source please?

It surely restricted Jews from immigrating into Germany as well, yes.
Apart from that, it was genocidal propaganda.

Okay yeah you're right, they aren't a full member. they are however an associated member of the EU. But basically I think we should put floatation deviced under the country and sail them to the middle east where they belong lol.
