User avatar #14 to #1 - brenton (12/09/2012) [-]
The head negotiator went around to the door in the room to distract the guy. That's why he's looking inside and doesn't notice the dude with the gun. I have no idea why there's a different guy outside after the third panel though...
#20 to #1 - jimmyprice (12/09/2012) [-]
if i am correct it is a different shirt because it is a different person one guy to check first then the guy with black shirt goes out also notice gray shirt doesn't have a rope around his waste unlike black shirt
User avatar #29 to #1 - luismamontes (12/09/2012) [-]
I don't think it was the same guy. If you look closely, the one that fired the gun had squinty eyes.

This post makes me so depressed every time I see it.
Cause like, what if this situation was far more complicated than it seemed,
Take the plot of the movie "Phone Booth".

That was a good movie, but that would never happen, come on man.

I think it took a little longer than 3 minutes due to the fact that the sun is out in the 2 pics and has set by the last 3.

So it's OK when China shoots a man in the face less than 2 feet from a child, but when American cops snipe a guy threatening to kill his wife while he's on his front porch and the family is inside, they are "Gun-crazy rednecks"?

This works both ways.

If a Chinese person were to kill an animal, people would complain about how cruel and unusual it is.

But if an American were to do it, it's perfectly ****** normal.
User avatar #124 to #23 - JoshBauer (12/09/2012) [-]
...no...if I saw a dog getting murdered by some jackass on the street I'm pretty sure I wouldn't act like that's ******* normal.
#144 to #124 - anon (12/09/2012) [-]
Because people in Chine murder dogs on the street.... Get your head out of your ass, son.

Wasn't me, I can't post as anon for some reason, because it tells me I can only comment every 60 minutes, even though I haven't posted 60 minutes prior.

Anyways, I'm not saying animals DON'T get killed in China, I'm sure they kill them all the time, but it's far more acceptable for an American to kill (lets say) 15 deer's, than a Chinese person killing 15 deer's.

Heres an example using deductive reasoning:

I've watched a video of a Chinese guy on YouTube pulling too hard on the leash of his dog up some stairs, and the dog was wheezing, (but still wagging it's tail), and people in the comment would make racial jokes about the Chinese because of this man.
As to where I've seen a video of a dogs head being held between the ladders of a bunk bed, being smacked around by an AMERICAN teenager, but the comments weren't riddled with racism towards America, instead, the comments were directed towards TEENAGERS.

Well I guess it's because USA is a democracy while china isn't. ***** like that isn't supposed to happen anywhere but china is ******* crazy so people have become used to it.

Holding a child as a hostage and threatening to kill him if demands are not met? I would have shot the mother ****** myself without bothering to wait for the cops.

Yeah, I would. I carry at least one of my pair Mk. 23's on me at all times, even in my house. And some twisted **** holds a child as a hostage? Would not think twice about giving him a .45 calibre farewell.

I've been arrested twice, should I not be here either? Since being arrested ive gotten my eagle scout and im looking to go to a prestigious college.

Frankly, Hitler had better rhetoric for the Holocaust.
User avatar #114 to #113 - Senior Bob (12/09/2012) [-]
but did you kidnap a child and threaten to kill it if you didnt get your three demands? probably not.
User avatar #115 to #114 - illegalartist (12/09/2012) [-]
No i did not, and I'm not saying I entirely disagree with you either. i'd just hesitate to make a blanket statement like that.
User avatar #118 to #115 - Senior Bob (12/09/2012) [-]
then i will rephrase my statement. if a person is going to be imprisoned for more than 50 years and will probably die in prison, would you the citizen want to pay taxes out the ass to keep them alive?
User avatar #119 to #118 - illegalartist (12/09/2012) [-]
I agree about life in prison but I recall reading that it costs more to euthanize. And in california death row is about as long as life in prison...
#126 to #119 - CrazyPsycho (12/09/2012) [-]
It costs about 50,000 dollars to keep an inmate in prison for his whole life (roughly). And a box of 100 round 115grain 9mm bullets goes for about 25bucks at cabelas. and you say it costs more to kill someone.
User avatar #130 to #126 - illegalartist (12/09/2012) [-]
I said "Euthanize." Im really not going to get into an argument on fj about it but the "cruel and unusual" punishment clause was included for a reason. Why even **** with ammunition? Chopping their heads off would be most cost effective. Maybe we can just round them up and throw them off a bridge....
#131 to #130 - CrazyPsycho (12/09/2012) [-]
Hey that works even better. good riddance to all the rapists, murderers, kidnappers, pedophiles, and the likes. But can't you get a little more creative? why don't we just cook them and EAT them. animals are for eating are they not?

So should i expect someone with the name illegalartist to either (A pirate all the music they can find or (B record people getting raped/murdered/tortured and then selling it off as "illegal art" ? i hope the latter...
User avatar #122 to #119 - Senior Bob (12/09/2012) [-]
thats why instead of negotiating with someone who will be detained for such a prolonged time, they should be shot. as shown in the content
User avatar #87 to #79 - instakill (12/09/2012) [-]
well if its you or a child im sorry but the general public is still going to side with saving the child but killing one man over letting the child die and putting the man in jail

In america it would've taken an entire swat team, at least 15 officers to secure the area, and about $25,000 in tax payers money and about 18 hours until anything happens.
#123 to #6 - thenickel (12/09/2012) [-]
but that doesn't take into account how successful each method is. If the chinese method has a 33% chance of failure, and the american one has a 2%, would it be worth it? just some food for thought.
User avatar #21 to #6 - foelkera ONLINE (12/09/2012) [-]
And then the guy would be sent to a prison where all his needs would be taken care of, then he leaves with an easy job and a few thousand dollars.
#63 to #6 - nightstar (12/09/2012) [-]
I'd imagine the guy is being distracted since he's looking into the room and doesn't notice the "lead negotiator".

Also the "lead negotiator" has a rope around him that I would wager is being held by others.

Also, as someone else pointed out. First panel is daylight. Last panel isn't.
