Bitches don't even know about the iron content in my spinach.
User avatar #8 to #7 - thepastryistrue (12/09/2012) [-]
It's only 3.5mg/100g... so... that's not very much.

Oops, accidentally deleted that comment, anyway it was something like:

It's much iron compared to other vegetables, but not that much compared to other food products, like beef, or especially liver. Even oatmeal contains more iron than spinach...
User avatar #17 to #16 - thepastryistrue (12/09/2012) [-]
Of course most of the ingested iron is being egested indigested, though. (that's much -gested, but I didn't find any other words for that in my dictionary...)
User avatar #18 to #17 - defeats (12/09/2012) [-]
I think the main thing about spinach is that it's meant to promote iron absorption despite containing many chemicals that inhibit it.
Like the calcium content of broccoli, of which 50% of is absorb-able in the body.
User avatar #20 to #18 - thepastryistrue (12/09/2012) [-]
That is possible, I don't know about that...

i read somewhere catchup works too, since it's made out of tomatoes
User avatar #38 to #36 - zxmongoose (12/09/2012) [-]
It most likely would since as far as I know most or all ketchup has lycopene in it (that's how it's spelled in the content I'm not totally sure if it's correct). At least I'm about 98% sure that Heintz does, and that ****** everywhere.
