In the north it's more humid then anything else. Dry air always feels hotter. My sister went up to Darwin a while ago and even though it was 30+ the whole time she was there, it was apparently still bearable.

tl;dr cool story bro ahead

Maybe it's different in different hemispheres or something joke but I find it to be quite the opposite. I live in Northeastern US where the summers don't generally go above 100 often but it stays at moderate to high humidity(I live by the ocean). Summers hear are too much for me I just sweat my balls directly off of my body. I recently visited a buddy of mine in Arizona(Southwestern US) and when I reached there it stayed at an average of about 103 and as long as I wasn't in direct sunlight I was pretty comfortable.
I'm not trying to tell you that you're wrong I just find it odd(your experience v. my experience that is)

True story? I've never had school cancelled because of the snow, nor have I known the trains or buses not to ride. They might be a little off-schedule, but they're almost always riding

Meanwhile in Arizona, the only thing we deal with is it sometimes getting so hot out that kids can't play at recess.

It snowed in Australia a little while ago, it had full news coverage and people we're acting like it was the most amazing thing ever. People had no idea what this mystical white **** was, and why it was falling from the sky. It was so funny.

the only thing I don't like about Norway is that weather is so ******* weird
It snows, then rain, then snow again, then rain, then suddenly it's "summer"

Its so ******* embarrassing being british, we get a few pathetic cm of snow, then all of sudden its headlines everywhere and before you know it people are dying and its the end times.

Hmm, thought i had some mild irritation reactions, this'll have to do.

I never knew Kentucky and Belgium were so alike. Half an inch of snow and they act like we're all going to die.

Belgian beer tastes like piss, the worst beer I ever drunk was in Belgium. Sincerly Germany, the best beer producent in the world.

An inch of snowfall stopped up my school system here in Texas for half a week.

Wow. I know that feeling living in a part of Colorado that doesn't get much snow. I used to live in Minnesota, so this is my face when people freak out over a little bit of snow. Cool that you didn't have to go to school though!
User avatar #27 to #25 - pyrothermal ONLINE (12/08/2012) [-]
It was nice for a while, until we had to go back. Then, because we didn't miss 5 days or more (4 days is what we missed), we had to make them all up at the end of the year. So, yes, nice for a while, but I damn well wish we'd missed one more day.

But norway gets snow all the time so they invest into machines and facilities to clear the snow easily and efficiently. Other countries get a lot of snow less than once a year so its not worth investing in all the machines and stuff to clear it
