oh, sorry, didn't specify. It was one of the lessons about the history and progress of programming so we had to be taught how to do binary, the basics at least.
Learning how to add binary resulted into this.. 1 + 1 = 0

Technically, 1 + 1 = 10, but the first but if your result can only store one digit, your answer is correct.
Trust me, I made a binary calculator in Minecraft.
