Reported from Local 15 News facebook page, made me smile:
We all might occasionally cringe when we look at our receipts during our holiday shopping sprees, but one NFL player this year is saying the bigger the better! Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson has an annual ritual in which he funds 12 children selected by Child Protective services to go on a Toys "R" Us shopping spree. They range from ages 8 to 16, and have all suffered from some form of parental abuse. Each child got a shopping cart and 80 seconds to fill it up with as many toys as they can. Surprisingly, they not only picked up items for themselves, but every child chose out toys for siblings and relatives as well. Johnson's total bill- $19K! He's pleased, saying- "That's what the season is about. It's something I look forward to. The kids are happy, they get what they want for Christmas, and that's all that matters."

Sorry, have you ever donated or helped other people? Middle class people could help a lot more than those richs guys, but its better to sit your asses on a computer and complain about how the rich should do all the helping
User avatar #297 to #94 - ilovehitler (12/06/2012) [-]
"middle class people could help a lot more than those rich guys"

Do you even know what makes things happen? Money and supporters.
Guess who has the most money and supporters? Rich guys.
#311 to #297 - ushuaia (12/06/2012) [-]
Plus: Even if the richer got more money than us that doesn't mean we can't help
Sitting your asses on a computer screen saying: The richer have more money, they should help it's their problem, is plain sellfish and hyprocritical
User avatar #314 to #311 - ilovehitler (12/06/2012) [-]
I don't think I ever said anything to that affect.
#310 to #297 - ushuaia (12/06/2012) [-]
Rich people has a lot of money, but we the middle class also have money, not that money, but it's more enought than help
All the middle people could help a lot more than the upper class if we want to
User avatar #316 to #310 - ilovehitler (12/06/2012) [-]
If my memory servers me right, it's something like 5 percent of the population holds 90 percent of the money.
Numbers are almost certainly off, but the idea remains the same.

No matter how much the middle class tried to help, the rich could do it so much better. Plus, they could raise support for any cause much easier because the media is always focused on them.
#362 to #316 - ushuaia (12/07/2012) [-]
The rich people may be able to do more, but is that an excuse to do nothing
I always see people who does nothing to help exept complaining about how the rich should help while they watch tv
User avatar #315 to #310 - krispybananaz (12/06/2012) [-]
statistically impossible, if we could give more than them that would make us rich and them middle... DO YOU EVEN CURRENCY!?
#363 to #315 - ushuaia (12/07/2012) [-]
In a hypotetical world, it could be possible, you are not considering that the rich peoople represent a small percentage
Let's say in a world with 100, 99 of them have 1000 dollars and 1 of them have 50000.
The one with 50000 is the rich one, but the other 99 personas have 99000, meaning they have more money in their power
User avatar #370 to #363 - ilovehitler (12/07/2012) [-]
Except the rich have more of the wealth than everyone else combined.
#371 to #370 - ushuaia (12/07/2012) [-]
As you see i was talking about a hypotetical situation
User avatar #372 to #371 - ilovehitler (12/07/2012) [-]
But this isn't a hypothetical world.
Why would a hypothetical situation matter in an argument about the real world?
#373 to #372 - ushuaia (12/07/2012) [-]
because a guy said that it would be statistically imposible that the middle class toghether could have more money than the upper class,

Huge Texans fan here. Andre Johnson isn't nly one of the best football players in the NFL but he is also an amazing person. another great fact about him is that a few years back he took a pay cut to stay on the team so they could help add some depth and strengths to the Texans.
