I'm from Canada aye. and bagged milk is normal, you are meant to put it in the holder for it, it kinda looks like a pitcher in a way.
#12 to #9 - cadenzabrony (12/05/2012) [-]
but why not pour the milk into the pitcher instead of putting the bag in the pitcher?

or better yet, it could start off in a pitcher.
and it could have a narrow top, and a lid for ease of use.
User avatar #14 to #12 - repostforlife (12/05/2012) [-]
no you PUT the bag in it, to hold it, then cut a small corner to pour the milk out of it.
User avatar #15 to #14 - cadenzabrony (12/05/2012) [-]
but why not just pour the bagged milk into the pitcher?
the bag is unnecessary.
#45 to #15 - drshkidz (12/05/2012) [-]
Because then you'd have to clean the pitcher every time you dense **** . I bet originally the concept was to do just that and someone who wasn't a raving ******* said "Hey, they've already got the god damn bags anyways and there's nothing else to do with them but sit in the recycling bin for a week (because other countries are more considerate in regards to the environment than "Murrica I suppose)."
It angers me that people have thumbed your useless ass up, it really does.

It doesn't honestly matter either way. America recycles milk jugs. Why am I arguing about this.

Pretend the milk bag is a vacuum bag and the milk-bag container is a vacuum cleaner. You use the bag until it can't be used anymore, and then swap it out for a new one.

it's significantly cheaper for us to buy it bagged than in a carton. you basically get 3 bags of milk inside the queen milk bag. we take a milkbag broodling and dock it inside a milk bag broodling container. then , we circumsize the smaller bag filled with milk on one corner. it costs about 2.50$ less to do it this way all together, which really adds up if you look at how much milk the average family will go through

i guess it would be like the juice pouches at school. it's still an odd concept. those pouches are annoying because the school doesn't always give us the angles straws (like on capri suns) and it's hard to poke a hole in it. a lot of times people just bite a hole and drink from it.

When milk is bought (in canada) we get 3 bags of it in one bigger bag. Its a cheaper alternative than buying 3 cartons of milk. Apparently it stays fresher longer this way... Don't know if that is true or not though.
