Things that I have learned from Games. Sorry If some of these are phrased slightly different than the originals... "Some trees flourish, others die. Some cattle grow strong, others are taken by wolves. Some men are born rich enough and dumb enough to enjoy their lives.

I truly have taken that entire game to heart. One of the best games I've ever played. John Marston was an incredible character. I hope to see him again.

Red Dead Redemption was such a deep and beautiful game. I hope Rockstar can top it, that would be amazing.

**vishnarg rolled a random image posted in comment #15 at Do It Now. ** Not the saddest of video game deaths but it FEELS to me that its one of the most underrated games i've ever played. The story was amazing and I don't see how any body could stop after starting. Not to mention online was pretty fantastic and undead nightmare was best dlc ever. I played gta4 and I don't see why that was any better besides for blowing **** up. Pic... Relevant?

It was. Which is why I don't understand L.A Noire. It seems liked it should have been way better than it was.
User avatar #68 to #67 - friednazi (12/01/2012) [-]
I think Rockstar just published it, Team Bondi made it. Every time I play Red Dead I notice something new and it just grows and grows, but LA Noire just made me go "well that sucks. kinda. Cole was a dick."

Wow I made that comment forever ago. The story definitely didn't live up to Red Dead Redemption, but it the gameplay was quite fun. I just liked the world and setting of Red Dead more.

"...a great love is a lot like a good memory. When it's there, and you know it's there, but it's just out of your reach, it can be all that you think about. You can focus on it, and try to force it, but the more you do, the more you seem to push it away. But if you're patient, and you hold still, then maybe... Just maybe... It will come to you."

"Evolution...heh, what a joke. Yeah sure the technology gets better...the weapons get more powerful...the soldiers, we get smarter...better training, more efficient at what we do. But what we do is still the same. We fight. There's nothing evolved about fighting. No matter what flag we wave, it's been the same since the beginning of time. We fight to protect what's ours...to take what's theirs. We keep fighting. We fight over differences. Out of fear. Out of prejudice. War...war never changes."

War has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles, fought by mercenaries and machines. War, and its consumption of life, has become a well-oiled machine. War has changed. ID tagged soldiers carry ID tagged weapons, use ID tagged gear. Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. Genetic control. Information control. Emotion control. Battlefield control. Everything is monitored, and kept under control. War has changed. The age of deterrence has become the age of control. All in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction. And he who controls the battlefield, controls history. War has changed. When the battlefield is under total control, war... becomes routine.

Everything has its beginning. But doesn't start at "one." It starts long before that, in chaos. The world is born... from zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes two, two becomes ten, ten becomes 100. Taking it all back to one solves nothing. So long as zero remains, one... will eventually grow to 100 again. And so our goal was to erase Zero. Even the mighty Patriots began with a single man. That one man's desires grew huge, bloated; absorbed technology; began to manipulate the economy. We realized too late that we had created a beast. We had helped turn Zero into 100. His sin... was ours. And for that reason, I'm taking it upon myself to send Zero... back to nothing.

Black Ops and Black Ops 2 actually had a deeper meaning in it. The past and the future can, and will, change. What matters most is what you do, in the here and now, that's what matters. Look too far back, and you will be blinded by lies. Look too far ahead, and you will get lost in the paths right in front of you.
