Only Necron Lords / Necron Overlord can talk.

Practically how the necron's became the necrons is they shed their human forms for the living metal they now live in. Over many millenia, their minds however soon dulled, first they no longer felt any pleasure, and as time passed they lost more senses, untill soon they were simply mindless warriors.

Only the most powerful of the Necron ( known as Necron Lords ) retained their ability of thought, and henceforth ability to speak.

tl;dr -- regular necrons are too stupid to talk. only necron lords are smart.

Nor should there be one true religion. There will always be conflict in the world. Don't blame the religion, blame the people. The reason I say there shouldnt be one religion is because that would take away one great factor of the world. Diversity. If everyone has the same religious beliefs than that shows no one si thinking for themselves or has their own beliefs. they are just shoveling down whatever people tell them because "thats what everyne else does"

No it would be just as worse. As I said, don't blame the religion, blame the people. People that fight over religion are not necessarily good people. Basically what I mean is that if they did not have religion, they would find something to fight about, and produce just as much violence.

That is the bigggest load of ******** I have ever heard. there will ALWAYS be conflict. It is not the fault of the religion. It is the fault of the PEOPLE. Those people would find something to argue about if there was no religion. A great example is an episode of south park where Cartmen freezes himself to go into the future, and in this future, there is NO religion. It is all atheism. But there are two or three different groups of Atheists who all believe in something slightly different and were at war with eachother .literally killing eachother over slight differences. They proved the point that its not the religion, its the people.

To be honest, I'm muslim, and all I'm saying is:
Don't use religion as an excuse to make war, or butthurt. I mean, let's face something very simple here.

(Almost) every religion (excluding sects and the like) had one goal, and tried to reach that goal by imposing rules on humans to make them reach that goal. To let humans have a good, decent, and peaceful life. People arguing about specific rules are completely ignoring the real idea behind it.

Same thing with people talking about Marxism, communism (related to Marxism, but there are differences), and c(or is it with a k? English is my third language, so pardon the mistakes)apitalism. The goal of those ideas was to create a good economical environment for everyone.

So can't we make a deal people? Make fun of details if you win, but can we please, please, not try to annoy each other for a sake different than humor? Can't we try to improve the world, rather than insult?
Basically, what I'm saying is, can't we try to do good? Be it as a christian, muslim, jew, or whatever you may believe in, can't we just stick to the main ideas of religion? To help people?

But, if you actually read Scripture, that's what Jesus was. He was the game changer. I'm not saying you have to like, it, not saying you have to believe it.

But its like if I picked up a book about an artist, who's style of painting changed completely and said "Oh, he still does the old kind of art, because this book says he did this before, even though it also says it changed."

You're comparing things that shouldn't be compared.
First, you tell people that if you don't live this way, you're going to Hell for eternal pain.
Next, you say if you lived like that you're going to Hell for eternal pain.
These are major things. Painting a penguin in two different styles isn't.

So in short, you say the first bible was made by man? and not by god then? Then the second would also be made by man. Not by god. Because in almost every single case bible is brought up this is often repeated.

"ITS THE WORD OF GOD"

You see, this is where the problem begins, if the old rules don't apply does that mean the people who followed it back then would be punished because the new generation thought we needed a new one?

People followed that book for 1000 years or more. I say the old bible is still something that belong to your religion. Its not something you can throw away and say it doesn't matter what it said. Your religion acted in its name and waged war with it. It belongs to you and you can't just get rid of it. Its always going to be brought up.

Oh come on....

The bible was dictated by God, written by man.

God's original rules, stopped applying, when Jesus died on the cross. How hard is that to understand? When the new rules came into effect, the old ones stopped applying.

TL ****** DR

Officially pissed off, I'm done.

Out of all the posts about Old Testament versus New Testament, I have decided to pick yours to reply to - not for any negative reason, but simply because of the fact that what you typed was particularly interesting.

My problem, however, is that you (and others here) keep saying that 'the rules changed'. That makes no sense if we're talking about the Christian god. An all-knowing god would have no need to change its own rules (as they, like their maker, should be perfect), and by doing so, it shows how inconsistant this god really is.

Also, there's no reason to be 'officially pissed off' when it comes to discussing religion and philosophy, etc. When someone questions or pokes holes in your beliefs, don't brood angrily over it; instead, rationally counter the argument, or fill those holes and reinforce your opinions.

They stopped applying when Jesus died on the cross... So why did they keep preaching about the rules then? I'm sure the new testament wasn't made straight away after Jesus died on the cross. Which mean people still followed the old rules back then.

The old testament really doesn't apply in the sense that the rules and laws have to be followed. The reason being that a new set of rules is given in the new testament. It's exactly like the annoying kid changing the rules, but in this case it's an omnipotent, extra dimensional being changing the rules.

Here's another thing I see wrong with Christianity, God being loving AND omnipotent. He can't be both.
Evil exists in the world, you can't deny it.
And if God is omnipotent, he knows about it and can stop it, but doesn't love us enough to stop it.
He could be able to stop it and wants to, but doesn't know about, meaning he isn't omnipotent.
He could also know about it and wants to help, but can't making him again, not omnipotent.

To be perfectly honest, I believe that most of the Bible should not be taken too literally, however it does provide a set of moral values which establish right from wrong. According to the Bible, homosexuality is a sin. Deal with it. But stop bringing up stupid Jewish laws from the Old Testament that prescribe obscure punishments to the smallest of sins, because that is not what Christianity is about.

My idea of any religious or otherwise life defining texts:

Disregard anything that goes against your own personal morals and common sense.

This applies to the Brotips website which I check often.

You develop your personal morals from how you are raised - you don't do things that you were told were wrong, because they resulted in punishment. Whether these come from religious or other texts is a choice you and your parents make.

I'm not so sure about that. Sure, morals develop over time, but not just based on what I've read or been told, regardless of who told me or where I read it. I'm confident that having been given new information demanding a moral opinion, I will assume a stance based on thinking about this information, alone, to myself, for an appropriate amount of time.

I don't believe that any one person's opinions or any texts "rule" should influence my own free thought process, and everyone has the same right and ability to do the same. That's not to say that I don't listen to others, because hearing their arguments is a great way to maintain an open mind, and there will always be things I don't think of which someone else does. It just means that if a book, or my father, or my friends tell me that homosexuals are bad, I'm not gonna believe them.

What's with written things being more correct anyway? Just because some guy wrote it down centuries ago rather than just saying it out loud and having it forgotten like any of my opinions will be, he's right and I'm wrong?

TheHutchie: you seem like a cool guy who has his **** together by being subjective about his own moral virtue. I think you're getting thumbed down because noone can really tell what you're trying to say. I had to reread it a few times to understand

It makes more sense in my head because I actually imagine myself saying it, what with vocal tones and whatnot.

That's exactly what you're doing. The same book that bans homosexuality bans a dozen other things, tattoos included.

You're doing exactly what you're complaining people here are doing, simply picking and choosing which parts of the bible are 'true' and saying the rest is 'just outdated Jewish laws'.
