It's kinda sad how people on FJ like you get to really high comment likes and they **** up big time by arguing.

It's like you were new here, again.

In the deepest heart of the deserts of Mexico
Beyond the coyote skulls and sun drenched cacti
There live an ancient people,
Descended from the conquistadors that landed there 500 years ago
They have a name for people like you

ok... uhm. here we go:
mark lanegan, eddie vedder, chris cornell, soundgarden, alice in chains, pearl jam, nirvana, love battery, screaming trees, room nine, the shins, cage the elephant, fleet foxes, bon iver, gutter twins, pink floyd, led zeppelin, rem, the doors, husky, sleeper agent, my morning jacket, mudhoney, the fluid, pond, oasis, some linkin park, deadmau5 ive heard a few times and thought they were good for ambiance, black sabbath, ozzy's first like 3 or so albums, def leppard before hysteria (not counting the actual song hysteria and also their cover of rock on), bob dylan, neil young, mad season, motherlovebone, temple of the dog, smashing pumpkins, korn up to their last album, the lemonheads, the afghan whigs, the decemberists, mumford and sons, violent femmes, foals, red hot chili peppers, stone temple pilots, and sebastion & belle. thats not all, but its hard for me to think of all the stuff i listen to.

I thought Lincoln Park was **** when ever the 2nd Transformers movie came out and the song for the movie sounded exactly like the first one, just different lyrics. And I personally dislike Korn.

Now on to my favorites. (You'll love this.)

AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, One Direction (Their new album has only 2 decent songs.), Justin Bieber (his old stuff.), Greyson Chance, Lady Gaga, Skrillex, Deadmau5 (People would go ******* crazy on me for only liking two dubstep artists. Excuse me, two MAINSTREAM dubstep artists.), and lots more.

I like most rock, I can't stand screaming lyrics in the entire song, I despise country but I do like Toby Keith and Taylor Swift (Hate one of her songs.). I like most pop as you can tell.

I don't call myself a Directioner, a Belieber, a Monster (gaga), I just call myself a fan of them and that's it. Some people go to the extreme with hate against an artist.

We all like music that someone considers ****. No need to hate an artist for their music, hate them for who they are. I ******* hate Bieber though. When he talks about abortion, politics, etc. it's so stupid. And One Direction fans are all god damn horny cunts and homosexual men who adore them. (Guilty, but I also love their music.)

I'm also a dude.

wikipedia, rock documentaries, and the fact that they fit the bill of a typical glam metal/hair metal band.

That's funny, Wikipedia must have been edited since I checked. Last I recall, it said that they experimented in glam metal, but were mostly pop rock/arena rock. and i've watched Bon Jovi documentaries, not general rock documentaries, and it said the same thing. Doesn't matter to me what genre they are honestly, they make good music. Even if they classified themselves as pop, I'd still listen. I consider them rock, you consider them metal, so whatever.

i dont consider them METAL metal, like black sabbath, iron maiden metal. i personally think theyre more bubble-gum pop than any sort of metal. but thats how they were always referred to me as.

I grew up with my mother never letting me listen to music, except her christian crap, until 10th grade, when dad and her got into this huge fight about whether other music was the devil's work and would turn me away from christianity. funny thing is, I left the church when I was 9 years old, calling ********.
My dad won, THANK GOODNESS, and that's when I really started getting into music. I like pretty much everything, other than rap, hip hop, and dubstep.

well, with those three genres, its honestly like all the others. theres good and theres terrible. all genres have their place to be enjoyed. and i know how that is, i was only able to listen to country until i was like 11, cause its all my parents played.

they dont fully deafen you. it just reduces the sound level to a more comfortable db-spl. most live sound engineers and musicians use them to protect their hearing.

ok. one: everything after the black album is absolute garbage, i have never had anyone debate that with me. two: foo fighters have the same problem as bon jovi, they sound just like every other band in their genre. and finally: i didnt judge anyones opinions. i stated a fact: Bon Jovi blows. the other bands i hate is an opinion. i realize and accept that metallica and the foo fighters have a large following, and individually the members of the bands are at least half decent. dave grohl is a great and funny man and musician. i just cant stand his music. lars ulrich on the other hand i wish would just die in a hole. james hatfield, or whatever his last name is, is a good guitarist and probably person, i wouldnt know i never cared enough to find out.

Maybe so but all of those bands, although maybe not musically good, were extremely popular and influential in their own respective genre, Sort of like Nirvana. Kirt Kobain was mediocre at best, but that band essentially started the grunge movement. Or look at the beatles. They were AWEFUL musically, Ringo Star is a terrible terrible drummer, and john lennon and paul mcarney are just pot smoking hippies that can barely sing. The only real "musician" In that entire group was George Harrison, who wasn't even that popular.

Nirvana didnt start grunge, they popularized it. grunge was one of those things that just happened as punk and metal blended and transformed. but thats beside the point. i agree with everything else you said.
