I live in a townhouse (houses connected to each other) and my uncleanly neighbors attracted cockroaches. But not just any cockroaches, CHINESE cockroaches. The bastards are long and slender and can fly, ************ . THEY CAN FLY. I cornered one behind my fridge and forced it back repeatedly until I was certain the terrifying creature had perished. I pulled the fridge back to see it in two pieces, split right in half. Using tweezers I bagged it to show to a science teacher to inquire what the **** it was. The next day I go to take to him, and the legs are moving on both sides of the severed body. THEY WERE MOVING!! I left it on the teachers desk. After an unknown amount of time, the body regenerated so the cockroach that was one horrifying monster turned into TWO. They bad ass ************* .

They can chew through tank armor in a minute, survive several 50-calibre rounds to the face, then regenerate it all within a few minutes. Also they can turn into buildings and turrets; so I'd say 'developed' is a bit of an understatement.

#29 to #3 - anon (11/27/2012) [-]
Agreed, the heat will kill them. Surviving the explosion is unlikely as well; more like fall out.
User avatar #177 - pokemonstheshiz (11/27/2012) [-]
You can drown a cockroach, and then cover it in salt. the salt will absorb the moisture and he'll come back to life

the radiation. fallout is twice the size of the initial explosion. twinkies also can survive fallout.

Saying they would survive the explosion? ehhh no. Maybe some of the aftermath. NOT the explosion, it blows everything in a big radius in to pieces.
#117 - muffinspecial (11/27/2012) [-]
I hate the false assumption that cockroaches can survive a nuclear explosion.
They can survive RADIATION (and not an infinite amount of that either). Saying "cockroaches can survive a nuclear explosion" doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make any sense mostly because if you shoot a cockroach, and put gasoline on it and set it on fire, it's gonna die, and you honestly expect it to survive something equivalent to about (likely more) 10^10 pounds of C4? (note, I do not know the exact number of joules or the temperature of the hydrogen bomb, or C4, but I can make a good guess)
