We all have these.... Works like a charm. I know you have at least 5 sets of earphones with either side broken/ mute and you have kept them. Maybe I' ll get it

1st of all you need one set with left and one with right working. Then you can cut the broken ones off and seal the ends. Then use fe heatshrinking tube to connect the 2 main line. All you have left is the Y-connection

Sure if your sets have 1 right and 1 left working. At 1st I just used electric tape to seal the cut end and bind the mainlines but after I found some shrinktube thru which you can get either the phone-end or the plug end it looked and worked so much better.

I just solder everything together and/or change the cable and plug.
