A Sport is a competition with offensive and defensive teams.
You need to be able to defend something.
It is a gymnastic.

I run cross country. That takes serious endurance and practice, running several hours a day, yet there are no offensive or defensive teams. Its all based on the combined skill of everyone the entire time.

Cross country isn't a sport, it's a competitive activity. Just because something is hard, that doesn't mean it's a sport.

how is a competitive activity different than a sport? i see that basketball and football are different than running competitively, but that doesn't mean it isn't a sport

Video gaming is a competitive activity, getting ahead in the work-place is a competitive activity, shopping on Black Friday is a competitive activity. Competition isn't the only thing that makes a sport a sport.

I get what your saying, i was just bringing up the point of cross country as a sport compared to cheerleading
