My friend had a foreign exchange student (from China I think) and she would eat toast with a knife and fork. And would take apart a sandwich and eat the individual parts of the sandwich.

I think she's a bitch for secretly taking a picture of his brother and posting it on FB with an agressive caption.
Also repost but that was like 9 months ago instead of 9 minutes.

It's not his/her literal brother o_o but i'd take a lot of offense if someone did this to me

It's because Asian-Americans typically hate it when other Asians do something embarrassing, for fear that it would make them (as a whole), look bad.

How is eating pizza with chopsticks shameful?

I find it interesting how people of a certain race tend to try to connect with people of their same race when they are the minority of an area. At least that's what I've come to believe.

I don't see the problem. Too hot to touch it with his hands. Too much to trouble to cut it with knife and fork. So use chopsticks.

I think most westerners don't actually realize that chopsticks are basically just a finger replacement. Anything you can eat well with your fingers is a good match for being eaten with chopsticks (without getting your fingers burnt or dirty).

agreed. when I was in Japan, we used our chopsticks to cut our food up and eat it. It was like our knife and our fork combined. In America, you don't think you would eat salad with chopsticks, but in Japan, it's all they give you!

Dammit, now I want a green salad. Q-Q Guess this means I'm making a trip to the Japanese restaurant soon.

i don't understand chopsticks. at some point in history a chinese person went "this whole eating thing is a bit easy isn't it? i mean spoon, mouth, spoon, mouth. it's so boring. you know what would make it much more interesting? eating everything with two thin wooden prongs!" and an entire race of people agreed.
