My primary place of residence. The glass part is a large rail station which leads to various offshoot bases. The big square structure to the right is a massive 25x25 mob trap which extends to bedrock. The building on top is my house. The mountain it sits atop actually has a valley in the center which I've put farms, animal pens, strip mines, etc into.

My pyramid will be my train station (once I get everything set up right), a downwards express elevator, a walkway leading to my main stronghold (which is still incomplete, and actually kinda small), a secret entrance/tunnels, and my mining hole. My actual "sleeping quarters" is on the ground on the bottom left corner of the structure.

I rigged my station to run from a single launcher and multiple switches. I also found a cool tutorial to automate car return and reloading. It took time and patience to do, but it works very nicely.

Never played on multiplayer again.

I played online on a server with about 30 other people, but my house was literally 10,000 blocks from spawn and nowhere near where anyone in the server lived, on a massive grassland. I never talked to anyone, and I never met anyone, but I had a sheep named Wooly Wubbles. I dyed him orange so he'd look different from the other sheep, so I knew it was him. I fed him wheat even though I didn't mate him with any other sheep, just because I knew he liked it. Then one day I came online and everyone was complaining about griefers. My house was burned down, everything was destroyed, and my 15 diamonds or so...
...but off in the distance, I saw a glint of orange. Somehow even during the fire, Wooly Wubbles escaped from his pen and got out just in time. It gave me hope. I felt like I hadn't lost everything. So I rebuilt, and I worked, and eventually I had an even bigger, better house. But then... it happened.

I was tending to the other animals, when it started to get dark. I was about to leave, when a spider jumped over the fence and attacked me. In the confusion, I left the gate open and a creeper and a skeleton came into the pen. The skeleton shot at me. I dodged it, and it hit WW. Then the creeper charged me. There was an explosion. When the dust cleared, I saw it. A single piece of orange wool laying on the ground in front of me. I had lost my only companion on the server. I killed more mobs that night than I had ever killed in my life, until the sun came up. Later, I invited everyone to the funeral, but only 3 people came. I placed the orange wool in the ground on a hill, a dirt block on top of it, stacked 2 fence posts, and placed a sign that read

"Here lies Wooly Wubbles. A good sheep."
Then someone on our Skype chat played "Oh Bury Me Not On the Lone Prarie," and they left as the sun was setting.

I've never liked Minecraft MP. Gotta walk 50 miles from the spawn just to find a spot to make a home no one will ever see, and then griefers come along.

>Swim 5000 miles
>Make place to breath
>Start building home
>Get up to surface for more supplies
>Avoid other players seeing you.
>Set home
>Live there until you get banned/ become kim jong/ server ends

How I did it:
>Find deep ******* ocean
>Study the fish and squids
>Learn to Breathe underwater
>???
>PROFIT

I made a tower to begin with, then expanded it into a small fort, then i made a few buildings inside a stone wall.

started making small towers with beds and chest with a few supplies ( food, weak armor and wood/stone equipment made a few of them to show the path to another player's home ( which at the time seemed small) but then i realized the guy had a vast underground town for himself. he came up and saw the towers and eventually found me.

then we let more people join the server.

so your problem is you don't explore, you build a ******* amazing thing but don't go around for other players to find you.

There was a server that did that, but I didn't want to use an economic system just to play a game. That's not what Minecraft is about.

I had a house once. A beautiful simple house. With plans to build TONS of underground storage units and a great large mine to have for my faction members.

Ass hole kim jong created a faction and every 12 year old cock sucker joined with him and raided me, violating the rules that kim jongs cant raid.

> Walk directly north, south, east, or west of spawn
> Place markers that point to the direction you are going once in a while
> Keep walking until you start to see fertile land (un-griefed land, trees, space, E.T.C.)
> Put a torch under one block from the surface (the smoke from the torch will slightly show above ground and mark where your base is while being un-suspicious)
> Make an underground base and gather a great amount of resources (a ******** of iron at least
> Become much better equiped then the rest of the server
> Head back to the general population (try go where only a few people lurk)
> Procede to assassinate as many players as possible until you have a good amount of new items
> Using the markers you have placed, head back to your den
> Store new items and repeat
> Continue to do so until you liberate the server and become known by all users
> Without giving away your base (to prevent traitors), try to recruit users to make their own bases, protect the server and kill all griefers
> Eventually the griefers will become over-powered by the more well equiped assassins
> Some fellow recuits are sure to turn out as traitors, but it should be nothing too bad
> Supress the traitors and continue too grow in power
> Become the most powerful guild/brotherhood on the entire server and swear to protect the server from all enemies

I've never played multiplayer. I'd like to. I just don't want to have to deal with griefers. Is there any way to play privately with a small group of people? I'm still kinda of new to minecraft, so I don't know much beyond what can be learned in single player.
