He probably voiced an opinion.

i said that as much as the nintendo64 was awesome, the controllers deteriorated and the sensitivity died.
User avatar #427 to #426 - niklamacz (11/21/2012) [-]
So basically an opinion... Don't do it on Funnyjunk again or you're gonna have a bad time
User avatar #428 to #427 - remsaman ONLINE (11/21/2012) [-]
its not an opinion its a fact.
the n64 controllers degraded over time and lost sensitivity.
#431 to #422 - tastycupcakes (11/21/2012) [-]
apparently 3 people on fj had 3 hands to play with that mother ****** .
#305 to #37 - anon (11/21/2012) [-]
i think your nostalgia is distorting your view of what is actually good and what you thought was good as a child

the n64 is big and klunky, it only plays one kind of game, has no internet capability, and awful graphics

it's not perfect, buddy. i think the word you're searching for is classic
User avatar #308 to #305 - licestr (11/21/2012) [-]
it kinda depends doesn't it?

Graphics don't matter when it comes to a good game.
And most of the time i prefer my games without internet.

But each to their own.
#421 to #305 - tastycupcakes (11/21/2012) [-]
thats a bit whiggish dont you think?
you have to put yourself in the times:
Th 64 had some of the best graphics of gaming systems of that era. there were barely ever setup issues. definitely the best game set of any nintendo system. hours of entertainment for all ages. 4 available controllers with adapters to bring extra features into the game. pretty damn good system.
flawless? no. those controllers were **** . otherwise i agree whole heartily with licestr

the n64 is smaller than an xbox.
User avatar #40 to #37 - purplespaff (11/20/2012) [-]
Agreed, cant get much better than the 64
User avatar #90 to #40 - lorddarkskull (11/20/2012) [-]
the circumstances of the n64 will never be present again

we had the rivalry of two GAME companies that also produced consoles trying to one-up each other. microsoft and sony don't actually make games, so there isn't good enough competition for it to happen again.

I got a N64 for Christmas when I was six years old. I had it in the basement with all the games and recently found it again. I plugged it in and it still works

I want to make love to it

i dont have a N64, but i've had a SNES for 17 years now. it fell on the floor like a million time and still works like a charm. only one of my controllers broke. my lil brother got a wii about 2 years ago. it broke for no reason, just stopped working. we own a lot of wii games so my dad bought him a new one - broke within a week. i don't know what the guys at nintendo are doing, but apparently they're doing it wrong.

I loved getting my Jet-Black one with Zelda: Collectors edition many years ago. My favorite games were the Pokemon ones, Mario sunshine, Luigi's mansion, and LoZ: Windwaker. I loved Splinter Cell too, it was one of my top 5.

I still play it about once a year for a few weeks so that I can do a Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 marathon. God I love those games.

User avatar #127 to #84 - hillko (11/20/2012) [-]
Wind Waker had the most beautiful graphics I've ever seen
User avatar #303 to #127 - lorddarkskull (11/21/2012) [-]
let me rephrase: they were great graphics, i just didn't care for the graphical style of fully cell-shading everything. it just seemed a radical departure from ocarina and majora.
i feel skyward sword is the missing link between the two. if a game with the style of wind waker had been made after skyward i would probably feel less strongly about it.

To be honest, I find gamcube, n64, and Snes about the same. They all have their generation of excellence: Snes has super metroid, a link to the past, and super mario bros 3. N64 has ocarina of time, Mario 64, and Goldeneye. Gamecube has Twilight Princess, Super Smash Bros Melee, and RE4.

If I had to choose, I'd choose gamecube because RE4 is my all time favorite, Ocarina of time and Twilight Princess are tied for second.
