So just competed FE eh? How long did it take you?

Oh, and here's a wallpaper I helped make of Velvet as well.

Yeah as you can quite clearly see I based mine off that...

Oh well I was just messing around on Photoshop, I had time :)

Sorry if mine looks a little too similar to yours (or partly yours)

But this one is undoubtedly my favorite. (also helped make it)

this thing alone is like two books and after that you read fallout equestria: prodjekt horizonz which is like twize as long at the harry potter seiries.

yes you read right.

the entire.

harry ************* potter series.

TWICE!!!

It does drag on a bit from chapter 20-25 but then it gets interesting. Don't skip them out because they are important :)

How does it compare to My Little Dashie?
#26 to #25 - brisineo (11/19/2012) [-]
My Little Dashie? MLD is a one-shot, simple fanfic. Gives you a feely, gentle ride over the course of an hour, and leaves you with a good sadness that lasts for about a day.

Fallout Equestria technically should be made into a long, overarching series, due to it's length. (In terms of comparison, it's pretty much the equivalent of Harry Potter 2, 3, 4, and 6 combined, and actually, the printed version is comprised of five separate volumes) And it's by far more complex. It has everything from feels to funny, gross to sexy, horrifying to exciting. An emotional and action packed roller coaster that makes it a worthy adversary of professional and popular series out there today. When you finally finish reading it, whether it be weeks to months, it will profoundly affect you for your entire life. It's that good.

And don't get me even started on Project Horizons, the spin off fic that is even more brutal and longer than the first and is STILL incomplete. But should you become a fan of Fallout Equestria, PH would very much satisfy you.

So, as good if not better right?
#30 to #29 - brisineo (11/19/2012) [-]
Better. I'd say definitely better.

Aren't there loads of FoE fics? Are they all written by one person?

I would go through the entire comments section... but I'm afraid of spoilers :)

That is assuming I'll ever get around to reading it... I've had many recommendations, but the thing that is most probably stopping me is I've already heard about the fates of the mane 6... Just gives me a feel thinking about their demise...

Other than that, sounds like a pretty badass story. And the fan art is amazing :D not sure if this is the correct FoE

i may be wrong on this, but isn't the bird supposed to be coming out of a cage?

There is so much fan art of Velvet, and they all have looked weird to me. None of them are how I pictured her in my head. Though, this one does look awesome.

I have read Fallout: Equestria, and am patiently waiting for the next update to Project Horizons. So yes, I have read the whole thing.
User avatar #9 to #8 - Super lolzers (11/18/2012) [-]
Do you have any idea how long it is?

I am going to assume you have never read it.
It is pretty damn long that's for sure, but it is such an amazing read throughout the whole thing. I highly recommend reading it.

Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons is a spinoff that is now even longer (longer than the Harry Potter series even) and, in my opinion, better than the original.

Both are astounding stories, and I recommend both of them.
User avatar #12 to #10 - Super lolzers (11/18/2012) [-]
Is project horizens worth reading? Because I want to end the Fallout:Equestria series on a good note, and I kinda feel like if i read it and it isn't that great then It would have ruined the first one for me. If that makes any sense to you :/

(I was going to reply to the other one, but you replied again, so i'm pasting what I wrote) Holy **** . I never realized how long it actually is... **** .
I assumed you never read it, that's why I posted what I posted lol.
So, if FO:E is that long...I wonder how long Project Horizons is.

Yes, Horizons is definitely worth the read. It is, in my opinion, better than the original. I was skeptical at first as well. Then I got to reading Horizons...man it sucks you in so quickly, it's insane, but good.

603,011 words. 603,011 ******* words for Project Horizons.

That places it above War and Peace AGAIN and places it the 15th longest novel in existence. FUUUUUU

It had better be worth it, can I be ****** to read a novel that long again? And I'm still skeptical that it might ruin the first book. Like is it connected to the first one? SPOILERS Like is there reference to characters in the first one? Like is there still a DJ-PON3 which is Homage and do the new characters know of Lilpip and her adventures or, do they know that she is in the SPP?

I dunno I just want to know of Lilpip and her story because it was a ******* good one, and I don't really want to 'forget' about it for a new one. Is it really worth it?
#18 to #17 - ascendedwings (11/18/2012) [-]
1 - It is worth it, and won't **** you over to read it.
2- Yes, it references Lilpip and her adventures.
3- Yes, DJ-PON3 is there and active.
4- The main character hears of the Vault Dweller.
5- It is really worth it.

It runs parallel to the original, but I won't say more for fear of spoilers.

Alright, You've convinced me, I'll read the first chapter and see what I think.

But I have noticed that it's by a different author, is it written in the same style? Because I liked the style FO:E was written.
User avatar #20 to #19 - ascendedwings (11/18/2012) [-]
It is written in the first person, same as the original, and is in pretty much the same style as the original. Complete with end of chapter level ups.

Thx for the time btw :)

No problem, I love Fallout: Equestria.
I hope you enjoy Horizons, as I have reiterated: it is definitely worth it.

Not gonna be reading it anytime soon, I'm just sick of reading after spending 8+ hours in bed last night just trying to finish FO:E.

I'll find the time soon(ish) though.
User avatar #21 to #20 - Super lolzers (11/18/2012) [-]
Yay, Gotta love those end of chapter level ups :3
User avatar #11 to #10 - Super lolzers (11/18/2012) [-]
Nonononono I have read it I finished it yesterday which is why I made the Velvet Remedy wallpaper I'm just mind ****** at how long it was. Let me explain-

I mean, while I was reading it I realized it was long but not this long.
Fallout:Equestria has a total of 624,747 words, which places it the 9th longest novel in the English language in existence.

Just to put that into perspective, War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy has roughly 560,000 words, meaning Fallout:Equestria has around 64,727 more words.

Or for you less illiterate (no offence) people out there Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has 257,045 words. Or 'The Hunger Games' has 99,750 words. You can do the maths.

**** me that was a long read :O
