"Unnecessary abortions"
"Unnecessary abortions"
"Unnecessary abortions"

...so what kind of abortions ARE acceptable?

The extreme cases of rape, incest, and if the mother's life is in danger by carrying to term

I know people are going to thumb me down, but I believe that life begins at conception and ending the life of an innocent is wrong.
User avatar #75 to #70 - xxxdemongirl (11/19/2012) [-]
I completely agree with you for all other abortions, but those two...
User avatar #73 to #70 - xxxdemongirl (11/19/2012) [-]
And if you have to choose between the life of a fetus, and the life of the mother? Keeping in mind that, without the mother, the fetus wouldn't live?

And in the case of incest, where none ever born actually is capable of handling themselves in a real world, because of so many genetic deformities? To me, ending that person's life before it even begins is kinder than allowing him/her to grow up in a world where he/she will never be accepted.
#77 to #73 - kinglybotman (11/19/2012) [-]
I really don't have much a problem with those two cases, because they are an extreme.
User avatar #79 to #77 - xxxdemongirl (11/19/2012) [-]
Ah ok. Then in that case, I agree with you completely, because there's always someone that wants and deserves children but can't have them. Adoption is the way to go.
#87 to #79 - kinglybotman (11/19/2012) [-]
Exactly. Thanks for understanding

So don't get an abortion. Logic'd
#78 to #72 - kinglybotman (11/19/2012) [-]
I won't because I am a guy. But I don't really see how that "logic'd" me. Just because I can't get pregnant doesn't mean I can't stand up for life.
User avatar #85 to #78 - thetattooedone (11/19/2012) [-]
I knew you were a guy, most pro-lifers are and think it's OK to comment on something they don't have to go through.
#86 to #85 - kinglybotman (11/19/2012) [-]
Excuse me? Because I am a guy I don't get an opinion on a life. That child would be the product of a man and a woman.
User avatar #89 to #86 - thetattooedone (11/19/2012) [-]
I think men shouldn't have an opinion at all on this issue unless it directly affects them.
User avatar #94 to #89 - mexicoman (11/19/2012) [-]
I don't think you understand the opposition to abortion rights. The act of abortion is Murder to these people, and they sincerely believe that. The fact that they are wrong and the two of Us recognize that can't cloud the judgment we use in dealing with these people. When you say things like that it does a disservice to our side because it completely ignores the false importance they put on it and makes us look cold and dogmatic.

I am fine if people choose to be pro-life, I am NOT fine when people make a big deal about being pro-life. There is a church by my work that has crosses spread out on their lawn with a giant red banner that says something along the lines of, "50,000 Americans die every year because of abortion" I don't hang aborted fetuses from my tree to support my pro-choice decision because it's my opinion and I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable about it because it has nothing to do with them. My body, my choice but I don't have any stickers on my car or on my lawn or in my window saying so.
User avatar #96 to #95 - mexicoman (11/19/2012) [-]
That is true. But if there were a genocide in America that half the country agreed was not a big deal and perpetuated through even the courts, I know I would be driven to act out in even worse ways. And that is how they see it, it is the equivalent of euthanizing the elderly because they take too much.
User avatar #97 to #96 - thetattooedone (11/19/2012) [-]
The elderly are alive. They aren't in the womb the size of an apple seed.
User avatar #99 to #97 - mexicoman (11/19/2012) [-]
I am not making the argument, im stating what they believe, and that we need to take this into consideration when talking with them.
User avatar #100 to #99 - thetattooedone (11/19/2012) [-]
I know what they believe and I still think no man, unless it directly involves him, should talk about something they know nothing of, especially, something so personal.
User avatar #66 to #49 - kuraithevision (11/19/2012) [-]
It was already on the news anon, a woman died because the doctors didn't want to abort the already dying fetus.

shut the **** up anon. it should be up to the mother anyways, who the **** is the government to tell a lady whether or not she HAS to have a baby?
User avatar #63 to #49 - znigga (11/19/2012) [-]
What if a 14 year old girl gets raped and becomes pregnant? is then still not acceptable to have the child aborted?
User avatar #58 to #49 - novabird ONLINE (11/19/2012) [-]
welcome to joes pizza and abortion where your loss is our sauce.

she ment all abortions are unnecessary
User avatar #51 to #49 - mexicoman (11/19/2012) [-]
Or if the mother's life is in danger.

Or if you can't afford to have a child.

Or if its the anti-christ coming back to tear **** up

Or if its a rape baby
User avatar #81 to #51 - xxxdemongirl (11/19/2012) [-]
I disagree with the not being able to afford a child. Adoption is always good, because there are many people who want children, but are incapable.
User avatar #93 to #81 - mexicoman (11/19/2012) [-]
There are more than enough children in our adoption system, and they do not live in ideal conditions. If you ask me, it is legitimate to abort a fetus that will evolve into a child that you cannot provide for. Its easy to say 'you should have kept your legs shut' but it is unbelievably harder to actually raise children in poverty.
User avatar #50 to #49 - onceman (11/19/2012) [-]
If the baby is going to come out dead so might as well abort it.
