These days, being fat is a sign of working harder or being poorer. They either spend all day at their desk working or can't afford good food so they get fat.

Skinny, tan people are usually the ones with money.

So that is justification for heart disease? From what I have seen, many people are fat today because of how they grew up eating. Parents forced their children to eat everything on the plate and then would force seconds on them. They were overweight before they even got out on their own. This generation did the same to their own kids and the cycle continues.

It's a sign of being poor in America. Here, everyone can get something to eat somehow, but those with the least money get the highest-calorie ********.

And wealthy people can afford healthy food and have the time for exercising.

I partially agree. Those who are poor certainly are mostly buying highly processes fats and carbohydrates, which are cheap. However, it's also because people in the US just don't really care. There is a wide gap among the way people think. All the way to one side, are people who just don't really care about what they eat as long as it tastes good (even rich businessmen who enjoy really expensive yet unhealthy meals), and then there are those on the other side who are extremely conscious about nutrition. There just needs to be a more even spread of concern with nutrition. It's mostly a mindset thing, only partially a money thing.

Are you blind?

The cheapest food is high in calories. This isn't the Middle Ages, where calories are hard to come by.

It seems ironic, but it's the truth. Rich people don't get ******* McDonald's as often.

Because the cheapest and most ubiquitous food in America also tends to be the least healthy (i.e. McDonald's), and poor people don't have the time or money for expensive gym memberships or exercise machines or yoga classes.
Now, if you're talking about poverty by the global standard, then of course. But American poverty doesn't typically involve starvation. Even the homeless eat.

I wish they did with fast food chains what they did with alcohol.

You walk into a liquor store drunk, and they won't sell to you.

The same should go for fat people in McDonald's

"I'm sorry sir, you've clearly had too much. We're cutting you off."

I never said churches are evil, but there are plenty of people out there that profit off of them. Just like people profit millions every year off charity organizations like red cross.
