I could see that. A lot of Pink Floyd songs are very harmonious with very few harsh sounds. Very easy on the ears. A Justin Bieber song has a lot of high notes (Not just his voice) and a broader pitch variety. As a result it effects the ears more. And rap probably would confuse the baby. The beat could be easy on the ears, but the baby is hearing the familiar sound of someone talking, but very quickly and in rhythm. Probably why it looks so confused.

Let us all take a moment to appreciate the sheer bravery of OP. For the first time in the history of the internet, someone has insulted Justin Bieber. Thank you so much OP for saying what no other funnyjunker has ever said before, this horse has definitely not been beaten to death yet, and so your comments are totally appreciated and stuff.

Music is completely subjective. I think rap is very good to listen to. I like when people use a large vocabulary in a rhythm and beat that tells a good story. There is a difference between rap and people like: Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and basically all of YMCMB, and people like: Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamar, Hopsin, and true lyricists. I used to listen to rock religiously, but now I truly appreciate the genius behind rap music.

I have always said that writing a song for hip hop is harder than any other genre, so many more variables to consider and have to pull off.

saying that hip hop is way harder to write than any genre is pushing it, it all comes down to the band/artist, but i agree that hip hop is probably a very challenging genre.

I agree. I don't think that every genre should be judged by it's worst constituents or its fan base. I actually like kid cudi and i normally listen to death metal...

Rap is alright, I don't know what the big deal is. And I don't understand why everyone says Justin Bieber's music is so bad. I mean he's a talented guy. He plays drums, piano, guitar, and can sing. I'm just putting this out there. Just because the type of music he chooses to create isnt one you are very fond of doesn't mean you have to be dicks about it.

(coming from a metal, grunge, alternative, indie, and classic rock guy.)

I agree. He /is/ pretty damn talented. I just dont appreciate the genre of music hes gone into... but I guess his high voice, on the verge of "lack of testicles" high, didnt allow for him to go into anything other that bubblegum-pop until the boys decided it was time to drop.

i actually dont think he had that much choice in the genre. It was most likely chosen for him to get the target audience which would be 8- 15 year old girls.

His voice wasn't suited for anything else, really. Think about him trying to sing "Black and Yellow" with that voice, or "Hallowed by thy Name", or anything from the Dark Side of the Moon. It was a launch-pad. Hopefully he does something the resembles the whine of mosquitoes a little less in the future.

I think many guys are just kind of "jealous" because he's younger & more successful - I don't like his music either but I don't hate on him

some rap may be alright, but what they play on the radio is god-awful. a lot of people who say that all rap is horrible are the people that only listen to what's on the radio.

I have a feeling that people are projecting their feelings of hatred about his stupid fangirls onto JB, because he's not too bad a singer, and an all around great guy. I say this because of how much he donates, and also that story about what he did for that little girl that was dying of cancer.

Your tastes in music are amazing.
