Or she and Judith get shot while trying to escape the prison after the Governor metaphorically says ' **** all ya'll' and our one handed former Sheriff Rick Grimes can't do **** to save her.

Actually here's a fun fact. In the Walking Dead universe, the concept of zombies never existed before the outbreak. That's why no one actually calls them zombies, they're walkers or creepers and such.

i think robert kirkman wanted to pay homage to romero and identify them differently, like in Romero's films he considered them ghouls, thinking he created an entirely new monster as before night of the living dead 1968, zombies meant someone who rose the dead to do their bidding, the whole flesh eating bullet to the head ones were of Romero's invention.

although in Dawn of the dead 1978 zombie was mentioned once, Dario Argento owns the European rights of the movie and he called it "Zombi" over in Italy (i shouldn't have to translate the title) which spawned a Italian craze of zombie films for ex. Zombi 2 the unofficial sequel to Dawn and a lot of others hell of the living dead is another. zombie is a large misconception in today's pop-culture and should always be referred as ghouls

In the Walking Dead Game, Lee might say in the first Episode "Those keys are on that Zombie out on the street" I think they just call them walkers cause it sounds better.

Roamers, Lurkers & Herds.

Lee in The Walking Dead video game called them zombies a few times.
User avatar #126 to #97 - amuserwholikesmuse (01/25/2013) [-]
that's because the game is based on the comics universe, not on the shows
User avatar #127 to #126 - bitey (01/25/2013) [-]
Two things.

1. What does that have to do with it?

2. Why would you reply to a 2 month old comment?
User avatar #128 to #127 - amuserwholikesmuse (01/25/2013) [-]
1-the comics universe is different from the shows,so Lee saying zombies doesnt really make what he said less true (assuming he meant the comics universe)

2-i was browsing thru some old comments out of boredom and decided to answer |:

in the comics they actually didnt call them zombies because it sounded silly

they couldn't say it with a straight face for the first months and when they finally could, lurkers and roamers had already stuck
#11 to #9 - killerone (11/09/2012) [-]
Ah, well maybe it's different in the show like a lot of things. I sat in on a question board with the actors that played Glenn and Maggie and that was their answer for why no one actually called them zombies.
User avatar #99 to #9 - jinjo (11/09/2012) [-]
Killerone is right, in the comics too.
User avatar #122 to #99 - amuserwholikesmuse (11/10/2012) [-]
no he's not,in one of the BDs you can see rick reflecting on the whole situation, and saying something along the lines
"it's been # since the zombie apocalypse, zombies, took us sometime before we could say that with a straight face"
User avatar #123 to #122 - jinjo (11/10/2012) [-]
Then I guess that they changed it for the show,

Everyone says they'd watch Shaun of the Dead, but I'd watch 28 Days Later because it would make you feel relieved that "Walkers" don't run.
User avatar #53 to #41 - ScottP (11/09/2012) [-]
Well it still wouldn't really make you feel better, because there are still going to be zombies outside.
User avatar #4 - desuforeverlulz (11/09/2012) [-]
You'd think someone who watched so many zombie movies would be prepared to defend their home if a zombie outbreak occurred.

It is related. The way zombies are dealt with in movies is, in the minds of many, applicable to the mother in said gif.

the inspiration for zombies was from how people were all conformist and brain dead unable to think for themselves and the disease was spreading as people were influenced and taught to conform, is this what you mean?
User avatar #121 to #117 - Hreidmar (11/10/2012) [-]
Not really. People tend to blow zombie's heads off, which is also coincidentally what many would like to do to this rather abominable example of... humanity (?)

Watched 28 Days later yesterday...

Was surprised that at the end where the aircraft comes and speaks he asks "Lähetätkö helikopterin?" what means = "Could you sent an helicopter?"

Finfags to the rescue!
