Attention all ignorant funnyjunkers: Mormons can't actually have multiple wives. There were certain teachings in the 19th century that could have suggested this, but it is not allowed in modern times. I have an entire branch of close relatives who are all Mormons, and they utterly despise this notion.

There's a certain spin-off version of the Mormon religion where this is still allowed, but they are seen as a cult and are not recognized by any churches, especially not the Mormon church.

My opening statement was "attention all ignorant funnyjunkers". I suppose an attempt at revealing the blatant irony in commenting about how you "know" or "don't care" would prove to be unfruitful, wouldn't it? You know, seeing as you were all so intellectually incompetent that you couldn't decipher the fact that I wasn't addressing the picture at all, but certain individuals in the comments section. How quaint.

Anyway, being that some of you are even arguing the fact that you're "kidding" (thebritishguy, referring to you mostly here), let me enlighten you:
1) There are actually people out there who believe that Mormons can, according to their own theology, marry multiple women. I have first hand experience meeting these people, both in real life and on the net.
2) This is more of a plight in Europe, especially up here in the secular north. This isn't intended to be patronizing or condescending, this is just the facts. Most likely because we're not really exposed to the Mormon Church in areas like these, and therefore certain prejudices have developed over time.

I will agree on one thing: I should have been more clear when I commented who I was addressing. However, you could have easily deduced this fact had you taken one second to check the comments. There are those who have a laugh, and then there are those who are dead serious. I was addressing the latter. Most of the ones making fun are decently informed and just expressing some innocent humor.

Intelligence was not an issue Anoumous, knowledge was. And the issue was yours, not mine. You should learn to use your reaction images in a way that's appropriate, particularly when using one that is so potently humorous when used correctly. You're basically using it out the context it was intended, because even if I was wrong, I would just be, well, wrong. Wrong does not equal unintelligent.

But alas, I was misunderstood. In reality I was careless in my expression, and I'm sorry for that.

Have a nice weekend! :)

He said a new wife, not another one.

It was poking fun at him being a rich twat, not a mormon
