This granddad is Prince Charming for sure.

My Dad came into my room at aam this morning while I was sat in bed with my daughters
watching Disney' s 'Beauty & the Beast' and started the following conversation.
I feel a bit sorry for Belle"
Why Dad?"
Well she was just a peasant girl who fell in love with a beast who happened to be a
Prince"
Yeah so why do you feel sorry for her?"
Because this story is set only a couple of decades before the French Revolution in 1789,
so soon after this film finished her and her lovely Prince would' been caught up in the
political upheaval of the day, the castle would' been taken over and the pair of them, no
doubt hung in that very courtyard they' re dancing and singing in right now"
Open mouthed silence from us three.
Don' t listen to your Granddad girls"

The Frog Prince as well.
Tiana had her restaurant at the end of the film. But its set in the 20's, in a few years the depression will hit and she will most likely lose her dream.

Actually, I read that the French Revolution would have already been going on, which is why no one came to try to figure out why the Prince hadn't been heard of for a while. They figured he had just been killed, when really he had just been turned into the beast. On another note, Bell and her father can be seen leeing Paris in the Hunchback.

Got a picture of Bell and her dad fleeing?
User avatar #39 to #16 - Furubatsu (11/03/2012) [-]
Not fleeing but she's walking through the town (almost a duplicate of her opening through the "little town")

It as probably posted through a public page, rather than a person's account.

Yeah i know it was just a terrible joke hahah
But in all seriousness i do have a friend whose mom's posts get way more likes than anything ive posted

I've seen people who have gotten hundreds of likes for posting things like they're going to the bathroom, or going out to walk their dog. All while the people posting meaningful things about the current state of the world, or just something funny, get 2.

It's sad, but oh well... there's really no way to change it :/

It's Jason Manford, the comedian guy.

Is it really necessary to block out someone's name if they have 13,779 likes.
User avatar #35 to #33 - mylazy (11/03/2012) [-]
Is that an adjusted value? Because it only says You, 1-2 blacked out people, and 13,177 people. That would make 13,179--13,180.
User avatar #36 to #35 - piptime (11/03/2012) [-]
Yes, I meant to put 13,179 instead of 13,779 (or 13,180).

Don't we just wish there was a comment editing option?

I didn't even know that story was set in France before the revolution, the more you know
User avatar #2 - moparornocar (11/02/2012) [-]
OP is right! I Realised when I was watching The Aristocats that it was set in 1911, in 4 years later France will have gone to War and Paris would be occupied by Germans, The old lady would have lost everything when France fell O'Mally and Duchess would be just stray cats and shot by invading Germans.

#41 to #20 - Rascal (11/03/2012) [-]
because the Paris occupation was so damn hardcore in WW1...

**** i'm not good at all with sarcasm: Not a single german put a foot in Paris during WW1
User avatar #4 to #2 - totalycrazzy (11/03/2012) [-]
Actually you can feel safe! Germany never captured Paris in WW1
User avatar #9 to #2 - dingojohn (11/03/2012) [-]
Yeah, that happened in every country invaded by the Germans: They shot ALL the stray cats! That was their main priority.
