I miss three things from BL1, the original Sledge Shotgun (the new one is kind of **** compared to it) and being able to play as Mordecai (dude was my favourite character) and pistols/revolvers being two separate groups of weapons, but other then that I have to say BL2 is a massive improvement.

I don't see a reason why, Borderlands 2 improved upon Borderlands 1 in pretty much everything.

i couldnt really get into borderlands 1's story. So the whole experience seemed empty

At least in Borderlands 2 people will explain the missions more and you don't just go "Oh sweet a mission. Okay I have to find beer for some reason."
