MFW I live in NJ and I haven't evacuated yet.

I live in Jersey and it's not extremely bad here. They didn't order statewide evacuations, just on the coastal regions. The whole state is in a state of emergency, though. Everyone around us has been losing power but I'm just sitting here masturbating.
#17 to #14 - aardvarkassailant (10/29/2012) [-]
I live in Belmar and they aren't ordering an evacuation, but I know up by Keyport the roads are completely flooded.
User avatar #18 to #17 - wardenspectre (10/29/2012) [-]
roads are starting to get flooded here too, when the occasional car goes by the water plumes all around it. I'm on my porch playing guitar in between checking FJ

did they ban driving in your area? i live in bridgeton and they are giving fines to people who drive that don't work for the government
User avatar #16 to #15 - wardenspectre (10/29/2012) [-]
I live in Hamilton, and yeah they've pretty much closed all roadways and businesses except for government workers. My dad works for PECO so he had to go in earlier today

Category 1 hurricane

BETTER EVACUATE

God damn Jersey Grow a pair. Take that storm like men.
User avatar #56 to #51 - VincentKing ONLINE (10/30/2012) [-]
wait wait wait wait WAIT!

All of this is over a category 1 hurricane? Why is everyone panicking over that? Australia had a storm capable of destroying a weather station that was built to withstand a category 5 hurricane, making it a class of its own, had very little warning, and the best part, absolutely no one died from it. If I hear about a deathtoll from this 'hurricane sandy' I will officially say that australia is much stronger then america.
User avatar #67 to #56 - asshams (10/30/2012) [-]
I think over 60 are dead. Over 40 was in the Carribiean. Also, Cyclone Tracey hit Darwin and killed 71. They had 10 days before it made land fall and with Hurricane Sandy we only had 2 days before it hit Jamaica and all that.

Right now, I'm kind of worried about the hurricane, I am in the path and I live near an overflowed creek and my school is around a lot of tree's
User avatar #69 to #67 - VincentKing ONLINE (10/30/2012) [-]
My house was around cyclone yasi's path, near a creek, in a low area, and basically every path to escape would be flooded... but the flood didn't come for another few days, and thats a completely different story -w-
User avatar #62 to #56 - buttplugmaster (10/30/2012) [-]
I don't think you can really say America. Upper east coast? **** yes what are they even whining about. America? No. Southeast america deals with this **** all the time.
User avatar #63 to #62 - VincentKing ONLINE (10/30/2012) [-]
ok, the areas hit will be the ones I shall forever frown upon, the others will have to do something completely annoying to be frowned upon as well.
#65 to #63 - Rascal (10/30/2012) [-]
well, indiana doesnt do anything so we wont be frowned apon

We Floridians get hit by hurricanes like that every year.
Some being waaaay worse (2004 hurricanes.)
#90 to #87 - Rascal (10/30/2012) [-]
Well I'm sure buildings up north are not nearly suited for hurricanes as Florida.

I can't wait for the nigs to go feral and start rioting and looting like in Katrina. That'll show those east coast libs how the nigs really act.

I would love for school to be canceled tomorrow due to this storm and stay home and play LA Noire and Skyrim all day.
#71 to #70 - darkjustifier ONLINE (10/30/2012) [-]
It could cause a tree to fall in on your house, though I don't know your location so this is probably not going to happen.
User avatar #72 to #71 - darkjustifier ONLINE (10/30/2012) [-]
Free wallpaper by the way.
User avatar #78 to #71 - yutakenusername (10/30/2012) [-]
There are trees right behind my house so that could be an issue.
User avatar #81 to #78 - darkjustifier ONLINE (10/30/2012) [-]
Just a little, if they're really flimsy, you might want to go out with your family and remove them, we had to do that back when Katrina was the big hullabaloo.

The worst part of the storm (the worst winds atleast) is supposed to sit almost directly over my town for a few hours tonight, and there's no evacuations here. Hell they just decided to close the schools here this morning.

I live in NJ, currently sipping on a beer and enjoying some top gear and funnyjunk. Not too much emergency hear(especially since im 30 miles from the shore)

what part of jersey? im about the same distance away from the coast.
#76 - Rascal (10/30/2012) [-]
That's actually not a bad idea.. All we need is a few hundred tons of soap. And a huge machine that covers all of the affected area, before it hits!

Only coastal regions of NJ have been evacuated...
User avatar #41 - itzkarmaturtle (10/29/2012) [-]
