technically, you can create fire under water. it is what people who work on piping do.

techinically it isn't fire, it's electricity that produces heat. just sayin

for everyone wondering These amazing pictures were taken by Anatoly Beloshchin in the cave Cenote Angelita, Mexico. Here’s his description: “We are 30 meters deep, fresh water, then 60 meters deep – salty water and under me I see a river, island and fallen leaves… Actually, the river, which you can see, is a layer of hydrogen sulphide.”

Fairly certain it's just a bug.

im pretty sure description got it wrong its H2O is just an isotope of hydrogen with a neutron meaning the whole thing is more massive than usual water

A liquid that has a higher density than water just settles to the bottom of an underwater cave. Not that hard to figure out, it's like putting honey in room temperature water, it creates a pool of honey under the water

It's still annoying as ****. You are obviously not the first person to think of it - you just happened to be the first to comment it.
Get off your high horse and don't tell people what to do. It's irritating and pretentious.

So your argument is essentially, "Its okay to repost if the reposter didn't know he was reposting?"

...no.
My argument is that you do not own the comment because you happened to be the first to comment it, thus you don't have any right to tell others what to do.
Also, do comments even really count as reposts? I don't happen to think so. Not a lot of people read comments at all before they post something.

The point is that people copy jokes in the comments just to get thumbs, half the time though it is an innocent mistake but really It's not hard to see that the picture was posted a couple of comments down.

in the time it took me to look at the content, read a few comments, and search then post the picture i did, the guy who posted this picture originally posted it first
excuse the **** out of me for not consistently refreshing comments to make sure it wasn't there first.
and clearly I'm not a thumb whore or else I'd be trying harder.

tl;dr it was an accident but I don't give a **** either way

My point exactly
Most people don't care about thumbs, they just want to make a funny comment. I have honestly seen maybe two situations where somebody thumbwhored a COMMENT.
Also, comment thumbwhoring? How about we talk to the people who make content and then make it about the first comment.

Either way, lawyering comments is irritating.
I really doubt anybody gives a **** if he made the comment first. Maybe ONE person.
And I know this - but it's not his place to go around telling people what to do
I mean, I guess he can, but he's going to annoy people and look like a butthurt newfag.

You're going around telling people what to do when nobody cares.

So wouldn't you by your own logic be a butthurt newfag?

Yeah I re-read what you said after I posted and realized that in actuality you didn't say that people shouldn't be doing it.

Still, in the grand scheme of things does any of this really matter?

Sorry I have had it with ******* trying to say this is some kind of brackish water. This is a hydrogen sulfide (H2S) river, it is located in the cave Cenote Angelita in You need to login to view this link is under 30 meters deep, fresh water, then 60 meters deep - salty water the river, which you can see, is a layer of hydrogen sulfide!

there are multiple other kinds of rivers even seas in seas whether they are made up of methane or other high density liquids but in this case IT IS HYDROGEN SULFIDE!

sorry for the rage.
