Just mix together nail polish remover (acetone) and chlorine bleach. Pretty neat reaction.
My roommate's a chemical engineering student and, though I'm a mechanical/aerospace engineering student, I'm good at chemistry. Considering the simplicity of the reaction and our credentials, I think it's safe to believe we did it.
