I do not remember where I found this, so I can't credit or source it correctly, but who reads descriptions anyway, eh?

Based on an old joke about the different countries in Europe. If I find it (and anyone gives enough *****) I'll post it here, either in the description or in the comments.

Apparently. I don't get that part of the joke either, to be frank.

Bioware is somewhat off and on with their dialogue. At times it's so well-done that it makes you cry golden tears of ecstasy, and sometimes it's so horrible that it makes bad anime fandubs look like goddamn Shakespeare.

There's always, for me going to be that one sub of Spirited Away... it was so bad I honestly didn't know what was going on. We had to go and buy an english dub from Disney. It was like someone who had English as their THIRD language. I guess after that and the Doom Comic, everything else sort of pales in comparison, ha ha ha.

Oh obviously. The bad subtitles were at the bottom, and the Doom comic is at the top. All bad pales to the subtitles and all good pales to Doom.

Using the same game, no less.

To be fair, OP has a point - Mordin was awesome, and his song was even more awesome. Shepherd's dialogue often left me glaring at the TV because it MADE NO SENSE

After I played Fallout 3, I ended up reading more about the Fallout universe. Fallout 3 basically told the lore they were going out to a nice dinner, then raped it within an inch of its life and left it crying on the side of the road. That didn't stop the game from being fun as **** though.

"In hell the stories are written by Square Enix"
>implying FFX wasn't one of the greatest ************* masterpieces of gaming in the history of the the planet and was the only media (game, movie, song, text, ******* anything) to have made me cry at the end.

That game...
THAT ******* GAME...
was just... amazing.

The only games that come close to it are Kingdom Hearts 2 (haven't played the first one... *sigh*) and Breath of Fire. Illusion of Gaia was neat too.
At the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 I didn't cry, but I came ************** close.
Near the end of Breath of Fire, I also came close to crying because the guy has to kill his sister who was his last remaining family and stuff.

TL:DR **** you, FFX was incredible.

Well you know what you must do?
Get a SNES emulator: http://www.coolrom.com/emulators/snes/34/Snes9x.php
Get the ROM: www.coolrom.com/roms/snes/1053/Breath_of_Fire.php
And you beat that ****! Don't leave a game like Breath of Fire unfinished.

That was the first game I ever played as well as the first I ever beat. 'Twas a most glorious experience!

Just a couple tips: When you fight the emperor, don't use the dragon-killing bottle while Ryu is transformed into a dragon. Also, when you reach the last boss under the throne room in the giant floating golden city thing over the poisonous lake, search the throne before you go down the lift for the most powerful sword in the game. Also if you fight the last boss normally, she just floats and has a spiky aura. However, if you transform into Agni (the giant ******* sphinx-dragon-manticore whatever) during the fight, she transforms as well and it makes the fight longer and more challenging as well as altering a couple lines of dialogue after the fight.

Also, if you've never heard of Illusion of Gaia, I recommend that too: www.coolrom.com/roms/snes/1077/Illusion_of_Gaia.php
The story on it is weird as all ****, but it's still pretty damn neat.
Just saying, but it Freedon, the black knight that shoots fireballs from his sword is a badass, then Shadow was the dude that used his powers of awesomeness to go back in time in order to beat Freedon's dad at arm wrestling/absinthe chugging contest and proceed to **** Freedon's mother in the spotlight of an Iron Maiden concert. Seriously, the dude is ******* made of blue plasma, is on fire, turns into an invincible liquid, and shoots ******* phoenixes from his hand.

I thought the game was a bit irritating. Not sure why, but it probably has something to do with the voices, or maybe the "overuse" of the Disney stuff.
No, that's not it; I thought fighting things in the world of Winnie the Pooh and The Lion King was ******* great.
But dude, even if you don't like it, you suffer through that ****. That ending... well, as I said, that ending was second only to the ending of FFX. It's like... you realize that the whole game is just about Sora trying to get home. Trying to see his friends again.
And then at the end, he makes it home and reunites with his friends. He reunites with his girlfriend who he lost at the end of the first game. Who he promised all that time ago that he would return to.
And you also realize that throughout all of Roxas' life, he was just trying to be somebody he could never be, because he was just a Nobody.
"Feels" doesn't even cut it. I'll admit I started tearing up just writing this and thinking about it.
Just... emotions and **** get to me in games.
Like, in a movie, you really can't connect with any of the characters, but in a game, of course you're going to connect with the guy you sunk countless hours into living the life of.
Now that I think about it, the ending of Mass Effect 3 hit me pretty damn hard as well, though for a slightly different reason I won't go into on this reply.

I loved the ending of Mass Effect, as well as FFVII. I have no idea why people complained so much about the ME3 ending, yes, they left a lot of open ends, but that just leaves them room to develop more on the aftermath.

They've already confirmed an Anime and a film. Which I cannot wait for, even if the preview of the anime does look sub-par.

I haven't beaten FFVII because when we still had it, our memory card was corrupt or something and it wouldn't let me save. The farthest I've ever gotten is leaving Midgar; otherwise I just replayed it countless times. It sucked.

I honestly never really thought about it that way; them leaving so much open to allow for other stories to give a follow-up or a prequel to explain things. I think Mass Effect has so much potential to become countless games, movies, and other stories because they just couldn't fit in the entire universe they opened up into the trilogy. I would really hope they make another trilogy, maybe set shortly after ME3. Like, maybe a decade. The story would be about how each planet or system was completely cut off from every other system due to the destruction of the Mass Relays and so they all became their own government and such that would either peacefully reconnect with each other after the creation of devices similar in use to the Relays or go to war with each other. You play as someone completely new to the universe, like a younger guy/girl who is maybe a descendant of Shepard and Liara (or whoever else you ******).

But the line the kid said at the end: "Tell me more stories about the Shepard" was what got me the most. That line implies it is years after ME3, like that old guy is someone he knew personally, like Vega or Joker.

And an anime for Mass Effect? Awesome!

Yeah the anime is set around Vega and other N7's I believe, I can't wait ^.^

But I honestly think that there will be another game, it'd be like bioware saying that they don't want anymore money...

Say what you want about Bioware being a money-whore for releasing day-one DLC (which I absolutely hate), or anything like that, but if they release a game that adds to the story of Mass Effect and has the same impact causing them to release more games, even if it is just to get more money, they can HAVE my $60. I will gladly pay for something like that.
Stories in games like that are what sells it for me.

FF10 is good story. Story about responsibility and the nature of reality.
FF12 is good story. Story about repression, resistance and the nature of good & evil.
FF13I is the ***** one. Starts as story about nature of destiny & fate, then gets ****** up.

[NOTE: Only ones I have played recently.]

the only original thing thing they did in 13....well original for final fantasy, is include a pokemon rip off plus what is up with that one button and you win thing? must of the strategy from the previous games has been cut...12 is just your typical revolution against the tyrant story with highly annoying characters.... 10's story..... let me get back to you on trying to understand it.... and the only fun I had with 10 was riding a chocobo

I agree with you wholeheartedly on 10 and 12, but I enjoyed 13's too. It was probably the most character-central story of the series, in that the first half is more about the characters learning to cope with their fears, anxieties, and fate. I wouldn't say it become ****** up afterward, either.
