"This sucks!!1!..go suck a dick OP" seems pretty much what most people would say..

I'm a photoshop noob and I think I could probably do this... but it does look pretty bloody cool nonetheless.

(If I'm wrong correct me)
Wouldn't you just get your two layers (the cat picture, and the minecraft screenshot), decrease the opacity of the cat layer until you could see the minecraft layer fairly clearly, and then in essence just trace along the blocks whilst on the cat layer before cutting it out? (if that makes sense)

Not sure about the creeper though... I'd just find a picture of one without a background and add in some shadow.
User avatar #38 to #28 - lorddrake (10/03/2012) [-]
Yes, it would be the general concept, except for the opacity decrease. I would simply make a selection of the part I want on the minecraft layer, and then use it to delete what I don't want from the cat layer. Knowing what tool to use would also make it easier to do.

And yea, it's a really cool and nice idea. I should have add that.

I know what you're talking about I think, It's been a while since I last played about on PS though.

I might try this for myself later if I can be bothered haha.

This isn't really that hard to make.. All you need is a picture of your cat, a fitting minecraft image, and a creeper. then all you do is to put the cat above the minecraft image and refine the edges!!!!
User avatar #13 to #10 - tonkkax (10/03/2012) [-]
Actually you could cut out a picture of minecraft, cut out the area you want to be under the planks and make it another layer. Put the layer over the picture of your cat with some creeper and you're done.
User avatar #19 to #13 - blargtastic (10/03/2012) [-]
You're actually doing it the hard way. Just put the cat image over the minecraft image and set the cat image's opacity down. After that, just cut away the wood on the cat image following the minecraft image with the pen tool and there you go.
User avatar #24 to #19 - tonkkax (10/03/2012) [-]
In my opinion its much easier to just cut the Minecraft image and paste it on the cat image.
User avatar #25 to #24 - blargtastic (10/03/2012) [-]
I don't know, mate. Maybe it just seems to be the easier way to me, because you can crop out exactly what you need. To each his own... I guess?
User avatar #16 to #13 - bergskaug (10/03/2012) [-]
yeah, that would be easier! good thinking, Johnny!
