I usually just say "Guys time for a team poop, who's in?"

I'm going to start saying this. I thank you

It kind of sucks guys have suck shallow relationships in so many ways. Sometimes I want to talk to my friends about actual stuff, important things in my life, but I find it hard to do with them. I like to just talk about meaningless stuff most of the time and joke around but sometimes I want to talk about real stuff.
User avatar #27 to #9 - shadesofbacon (10/02/2012) [-]
To be fair you should have a few friends you can talk to about deeper things, not all of them but a few

"Get better friends". Well, sometimes you've got to stick with what you have. There's a time and a place for everything, and perhaps your timing on initiating these types of conversations haven't been the best. I don't know.

I personally don't enjoy being part of a "deep and important" conversation, but I have a friend who every so often (usually when drinking tremendous amounts of alcohol) bring up "deep" stuff, ie: his father who have passed, not ever having a girlfriend, being fat, or "you're such a great guy, anon. You really are". The worst part is when you're expected to share something back or come up with something clever to say. I hate sitting around for this and I feel super awkward, but it's just what you do in a friendship. Even more so in a relationship with a girl (or a guy).

Either way, the great part of being a guy and talking to other guys is that we forget and move on easily. If you try talking about "2deep4u" stuff and feel like it's not going as intended, just switch the subject.

I grew up with deviants that only cared about drugs, money and pussy, I would have valued a friend to talk with depth
User avatar #10 to #9 - ningyoaijin (10/02/2012) [-]
That's why you befriend females. ¬_¬
User avatar #11 to #10 - esmebuffay (10/02/2012) [-]
That's assuming I could talk to females, I can never get past the awkward pleasantries part.
User avatar #12 to #11 - ningyoaijin (10/02/2012) [-]
All my friends are women. It's quite weird being an androphobic male.
User avatar #13 to #12 - esmebuffay (10/02/2012) [-]
Why are you afraid of men?
User avatar #14 to #13 - ningyoaijin (10/02/2012) [-]
You know, I actually never figured it out. I just don't have anything in common with most men, and the ones I do know are utter cunts.
User avatar #15 to #14 - esmebuffay (10/02/2012) [-]
Eh, some guys just get along better with girls. For example my sister's friend Steven has almost all female friends, some people just have more in common with the opposite sex for whatever reason.
User avatar #17 to #15 - FAILtim (10/02/2012) [-]
Be glad you still have friends. I cut loose from the bunch of parasites that only knew me for my car. when school was over they blocked all communication with me and started doing retarded.
But anyway. if you realy do trust one of them. get them alone with you and then talk about it. go get some pizza or Mc Donalds or something at a hour that you know no one will be there and go sit somewhere cut off from the rest.
And yes. I'm aware that this is how most horror movies start but try it. look them dead serious in the eye and say. can i talk about something i realy want of my shoulders ? if the answer is no. finish the meal and gtfo. cut loose and forget about that one. if the answer is yes. do your story and you know you can realy call this one a friend.

But if you want to talk about that sort of things you have to be trustworthy and open about that sort of **** ... Which can make you come off as a faggot.

User avatar #37 to #34 - yunablade (10/02/2012) [-]
Is not that you have to have a "deep" connection to say those things, is jsut that between males that sounds gay.

I would hit my brother if he ever told me I'm handsome, and I he would never hear the end of it if he ever asked me to come to the bathroom togheter with him.
#39 to #37 - Rascal (10/02/2012) [-]
You would hit a guy that compliments you? To think girls were bad at accepting compliments...
#41 to #39 - yunablade (10/02/2012) [-]
**yunablade rolled a random image posted in comment #510849 at Item Discussion **

I would feel oblied.

You see between my friends we are all lughts and jokes, minor compliments are okay, but you got to admit having another guy telling you you have beautiful eyes (which is a cheesy line even when it's guy-to-girl) the bro code would demand physical punishment for sounding like a sissy.

Thats how the bro code works, i dont expect non-bros to get it.
#42 to #41 - christchex (10/02/2012) [-]
Well everyone has their own forms of friendships, but kinda weird to follow some sort of code for it. I guess you won't want to be in a relationship with a girl because you may have to open up with your feelings which will make you look like a "sissy" apparently.
User avatar #43 to #42 - yunablade (10/02/2012) [-]
Says the guy in touch with his feelings and inviting his friends to the bathroom.

I just dont swing that way.
#49 to #43 - christchex (10/02/2012) [-]
I don't do the invite to bathroom part, but I can do the rest since I'm not insecure about my sexuality.
#52 to #49 - Rascal (10/02/2012) [-]
So, you are not yet aware that you're gay?
#55 to #52 - christchex (10/02/2012) [-]
I would know if I was.
#38 to #34 - knerten (10/02/2012) [-]
How is telling someone their eyes are beautiful deep? Saying those things is just weird for a male, doesn't mean they still can't have conversations regarding life and "deep" things...

Oh come on, it's not bad. We joke about that kind of stuff all the time. How we should go get a coffee and take some profile pictures together, how we need each other when we go to the bathroom and two of my friends even fooled a bunch of girls they were gay, just not officially on facebook. And we are all perfectly straight. Just a lot more fun in the friendship with more things acceptable to joke about :)
